Without Hogan blazing the trail, does Austin ever get that sizeable an audience to shine in front of?

Another negative to the "stream" is the artist payout It cascades into many branches of ssssshaving cream (sorry, I couldn't resist a lil' Demento humor), all of which = lower quality output (in general) IMO I'm 100% anti-streaming I do pay for mp3/4 files (singles/albums/etc) and I'm still out here, purchasing physical media (I picked up used a copy of Big Babรบ, and the giant rolling paper was still in the insert, and in pristine condition ๐). I do enjoy the advantage of culling the unnecessary fluff that comes on certain albums (I give every track a fair shake) The major advantage to internet-driven media IMO, is the speed rate of deep diving. Between YouTube, Amazon, and record label websites, I can put in some VERY satisfactory research netting me artist discoveries at an alarming rate. Because of the advantages that the digital age provides, I'm discovering quality bands/projects/etc on a daily basis!!! The internet really IS for the older millennials, and generations back IMO Those of us who built our filters, properly. Those of us who built our brains to do our own research IMO The perversion of it comes from those without a reference point, which turns the tech into mushy pea melted ice cream IMO Streaming makes music into a commodity for the newer generations vs something sacred IMO Example of the advantages brought by the www This song lived in my subconscious for decades, as I was very young when it was popular. The gorgeous hook in its chorus would bubble up every so often, and I never knew where it came from, until I very accidentally hit on the link, one day on YouTube! Not only did hearing it inspire me to buy the mp3/album, it sprung forth a wave of early childhood memories that I swam in, for hours!!! THAT, in my opinion, is one of the beautiful aspects of the modern age https://youtu.be/lBlx1JffMQ4?si=MyfcSFsx72_vkZDx

I'm borrowing a vehicle, while the deer dance damage to my car is being (haggling/approving game, between the shop and my insurance provider) repaired Said borrowed car HAS a built in CD player!!! I had NIN's Pretty Hate Machine on for yesterday's commute Today, it's Dr Demento's, Covered in Punk compilation (Brak does a wonderful rendition of Suicidal Tendencies' "Institutionalized") ๐ It's absolutely BONKERS, in the best possible way ๐๐ป While I appreciate the conveniences associated with digital tech, IMO there's no beating physical media, ESPECIALLY when it comes to music. ยกViva nostalgia!

Oh, how far have we sunk, since the days of Miller and Hasek Our G situation is similar to the Bills QB situation, post Kelly - pre Allen Hoping one of these "unsures" pans out ๐ข

Just wanted an "attitude adjuster" or a few of them For far too long the strategy against Buf has been to "go for the kneecaps" (so to speak) when being outplayed by Buf. Lucich's cheapie on Miller still haunts this team (even with John Scott single-handedly ending the goon era by rearranging Thorton's noggin the following season). Buffalo, the hockey club, has a serious lack of jam/grind/moxie/toughness, whatever you want to call it. I'm not suggesting that they become a modern day Syracuse Bulldogs. Just swap out some of our "skill" for some much-needed grit! Hopefully, this off-season, with the moves being made, is doing that? Ultimately, I'm not convinced Adams is capable of constructing a "team" so, hopefully, Jarmo is being given the authority to put his stamp on the product? 15 effing years of limp-d!ck hockey is waaaaay too much, IMO!!! C'mon Terry, give us back our lust for the Sabres...

Good on you for deflecting said teacher's $hit bullet It's sad that a person, who's job is/was to aide in the molding/shaping of our future citizens, was THAT lacking in situational awareness. Just a shite thing to do to a developing mind, IMO For the sake of clarity, I feel obliged to share that I'm not a 'participation trophy' sort of patent, I'm (mostly) from the "old school" and I'm trying to instill in my son the same traditions, minus the, quick-to-use-corporal punishment, for 'behavioral modifications' ๐ I do remember encounters with faculty like the one you described, and I hope that my kid won't experience anything similar! Faculty seems, generally speaking, rather soft on the kids these days, IMO Incidentally, my boy received an academic performance award in science (5th grade) and the thing has a TYPO in the descriptor!!!! I suck at written composition, so you know it's blatantly obvious if I saw it. ๐ The irony of an educational institution presenting an 'exemplary' award with a mistake that I assume is due to lack of checking for errors is not lost on me. We are in strange times, my friend...

I think you're a cool cat, if my opinion means anything? I had the opposite chorus exp during my scholastic years Music teachers would volunteer me, EVERY year, from 1st grade up to middle school b/c of my vox capabilities (not bragging, it's whatever) and it was my duty to get myself booted from chorus, as I found the experience not to my liking ๐ซก I suppose they heard something they liked/needed b/c it was more than one teacher AND it happened every year, until high-school Now, had they been performing Faurรฉ's Requiem, maybe I would have reduced my resistance

Is Jaennot the guy who, basically, recalculated Cousins' trajectory when he broke Cousins' face in that ugly fight???
