  1. Peters being on as a "regular" now on tuesdays and thursdays has a lot to do with the response that WGR gets every time he's on the morning or afternoon show as a guest. Everytime he is on, they get tons of texts, emails, and tweets about how good he is and he should be on more often. I've sent a few myself but Howard/Jermey and Schop/Bulldog have mentioned that several times. I'm sure it's not just that someone was reading it on this message board, although it can't hurt. Peters also does that tv show with Rayzor that people seem to like.

I enjoyed the full two hours of Petey sitting in today and will be listening most days when he's on. If they let him line up some guests like he did on the morning show last week, we'll get some great radio! I love that I can listen until noon every day now. I hated that garbage from 10-12 before.

I stream it on my iPhone since I'm in Pittsburgh and it sucks my battery but I don't care, I plug it in and listen all morning!!

  2. this G-20 is costing the tax payers 18 million dollars just on police and security. millions more to get the convention center ready... and countless money in revenue lost for local businesses because no one will be downtown for 2-3 days and/or because they had to board up their storefronts to hopefully not be damaged by the moron protestors.

i am glad i get to work from home for 3 days but it is very frustrating seeing these dirty hippies who dont have jobs disrupt the lives of the people who do.

  3. any one interested in traveling to Pittsburgh on monday. I have two tix in section B31, row K, seats 3-4. they are behind the net that the Sabres shoot twice. check out the seating chart at Mellon arena.

I have to figure out something with these tix... I'm going but have tix in another section... these are extra, hence the discount. I'd rather sell them to Sabres fans.

$140 for the pair, $220 face value.

I will be trying to unload these several places so if you want them get to me quickly.

  4. wow, two of my biggest complaints are already posted... the check writer at the grocery store and the fact that CBS screws up the times of my shows on sunday's after football so I only recorded half of The Unit.

I hate that today is thursday and not friday! still have to wait another day to watch the Sab's :censored:

  5. along the same lines as mentioned above...

no one forced them to take that job, if they don't care about it don't take it... "not paying me enough" isn't really a good reason to act like an a$$hole when the job description they agreed to is being followed. If people are asked to do things that aren't in their job description, "not paying me enough" can be a valid excuse... but I'm pretty sure the Fast Food Cashier job description has something to the effect of being polite, friendly, accomodating, and always making the customer feel welcome.

Case in point, there was a worker at a local Subway, she was awesome, friendly, happy, polite... made me feel good going in there... she left and the people they have now are grumpy idiots, needless to say I don't go to the Subway anymore. The nice worker got a job at Dunkin Donuts, now I go in there specifically to order from her. I told her she was missed at Subway and we were glad to see her working close by again. (it's not because she's hot or anything either, just a good worker who you could appreciate)

  6. since I've been vocal in the past about how useless Peters is as a hockey player... I want to say that he has been 50 times better this year, especially the last two games.... his few shifts already tonight he's playing very well... if he had any offensive touch, he would have had one... but since that's not his purpose, I'll take him just playing better.

Good job Peters, you are proving me wrong.

  7. putting the numbers on the front totally pisses me off.... there is no reason for it. the Sabres said that this is officially a Vintage jersey and that's why they are allowed to wear it this year instead of waiting the NHL mandatory waiting period before getting a 3rd jersey when changing uniforms... well, if it's a vintage jersey then the numbers shouldn't be on the front... totally pissed off right now

and why can the Canucks have a totally vintage uniform (jersey, pants, socks, gloves, helmets, etc) and all we get is the jersey and socks??? and now we don't even get the jersey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    totally pissed

  8. You know, I always considered this town to be sports diehards. But between the Bills game this past weekend (we're up by 5 with 3minutes left, and people are filing out) and last nights game, I really have to reconsider. I mean you IT AIN'T OVER UNTIL IT'S OVER. You pay all that money for ticks and you leave before the game is over? Bunch of freaking panzies.

I don't agree with leaving early either... but I'll give a small percentage of ticket holders a pass, who knows their reasons, some may be good some bad, but a LARGE % of people didn't leave and actually got louder, those people that left probably weren't making noise anyway so let them go....

I'm sure some people left, but it didn't look like that many on TV, that place was nuts in the last few minutes of the 3rd, OT and the shootout... they showed the crowd and it was insane... and super loud at the end. I'm sure people left, there are fans in EVERY city that leave early, but don't get mad at the fans because a bunch leave, even if 10% leave, that still leaves 16,000 people showing the world what a great hockey town Buffalo is. Any one watching last nights game heard the fans chanting with no prompting what so ever through out the game... Don't try and say Buffalo isn't a city of diehards.... just isn't true
