ON a side note. Spacek scored his 2nd of the year and game winner. Jay McKee played his first game of the year tonight against Vancity. Well, part of the first period anyway. He fractured his hand. Loved the guy, but he's made of glass.
Spacek is playing and he can score.
McKee is not made of glass but he has been rather unlucky in certain years........... B-)

A win is a win and good teams can win some games not playing their best game and the Sabres just did that...................Nice to see Vanek playing so well, Hecht also.............. :D

imo the only pretty part of the sabres game tonight was obviously miller, & special teams. don't get me wrong, i would have been happy with a OT loss, or shootout loss, or just a hard fought regulation loss. not going to change my oppinion on the sabres skill.
but it doesn't take a genius to know the red wings overall played a better game than the sabres tonight.
Yeah, but you can also say that they didn't get the job done............. B-)

Sabre hung on when they had to and Miller pulled that win from the fire for them.............Nice to see the power play clicking..............Miller best goalie in shootouts and breakaways.............. B-)

I'm not sure if that is aimed at me or not, but I'll address it as such. Nowhere in my post did I say Miller had a bad game. In fact, I specifically stated that I don't know how he played. I was noting how he tends to excel after bad games, and that he may see allowing 4 goals as a bad game, regardless of how he played.
Not really aimed at anyone, just stating that Miller played well and made some nice saves.......... B-)

Yeah, I didn't like the rebound he gave up on the first one, but the rest weren't really his fault.
I agree those goals were not Millers fault, sometimes people have to consider all the nice saves a goalie makes before opening their mouths, trust me its not as easy as it looks................. B-)

They started to play not to lose in the third...and it cost them. Why did Miller go down so soon on that shot. If he stood upright it was an easy save.
The real reason that goal went in>Gaustad skating right infront of him for the screen job.

We need to score a few goals and steady the ship. Janek (just broke up a 2 on1) and Jillson haven't been that bad........Our forwards have made some pretty sloppy passes, not the best night to be doing that........ :(

Yeah this is one that will be remembered about for a long time, only thing that could have made it better, was if the game was a series clincher or a game seven.

Miller can't be blamed for those goals, the team is playing horrid team defense, Dumont is a terrible back checker.............And did you see Biron play vs Atlanta, now that was some horrid goaltending, I like Marty still but he was terrible...........Miller wasn't Hasek like in this game, but he made some good saves and could pull out the miracles on some of those tip shots...........Right now I wish that goaltending was our only problem.
