I don't think a WR will help the Sabres. The Bills probably don't need him either.
He will be on a rookie contract!

Extraordinary. I’ll read, later.

If you’ve got nothing to do, how ‘bout some opera. My brother is part of the team that put this together. It goes live at 1pm.

I’m in ... I discovered it late in life. I’ve attended maybe ... 15. Sarasota and Tampa. The Met is a bucket list item.
What does your brother do?

Or, Lindy Buff, but you said first names. Was Ew Krupp was an Islander!

I was going to say Uff Samuelsson, but he never played for the Sabres.

That hypocrisy is very evident, not only with anti-rich comments, but other one sided “analysis” and comments I see littered through most threads that aren’t strictly sports related. It’s just sooo not worth pointing all of them out. I feel, Almost everyone is dug deep in their version of reality and logic. I think, There really isn’t a thing called “debate” anymore on message boards. Now what exists is “this is what I think, and it’s the truth” while at the same time passive aggressively implying “and so what you think, isn’t the truth”. Or “just shut up”, you’re wrong”. No true debate anymore. Message boards are definitely not the only place this phenomenon exists. Just my O.
That’s why I’ve stayed mostly silent and just observed. How dare you put analysis in quotes?!

You're mistaken. I found your unwillingness to answer a simple question interesting, not the original thought itself. If you had answered that might have changed.
Well, then, I am glad you find my choices interesting, even while I remain uninteresting. I’m doing my best here! Just let me be glad, man!

if I had to guess, it was pointing the hypocrisy of shade being thrown on the rich, except when the rich are on a certain “side”. No?
Leave Mrs. Swamp, and be mine, forever!

I’m glad to make you curious and to have my thoughts described as interesting, even when I am not ...

You need to stop it.
Is it a cease fire, or am I surrendering unilaterally? I want to see a list of signatories...

Well, I’m glad to be thought provoking.

Oh, for heaven’s sake ... the premise of the whole thread is class and status, competency and leadership.

Yeah, it was a moment ... it’s passed.

Tyler Johnson .... I am not a CapFriendly / Talent guru. However, the contract looks a little too good at $5 million for four more years.

Not a bad thing ... I saw Phil Hansen in the films.

I keep reading Big Nickle, flexibility, what coach likes, athlete, and scouted many times ... Kyle Dugger.
Looking forward to living room Sean and some clapping.

As a longtime follower (wouldn't say lurker) and only very occasional poster, I will present my personal perspective.
This board is one of the first sites I go to every day, not only for Sabres news (of which there has been so little lately), but also for urbane and erudite threads, responded to in a civil and respectful manner by a broad representation of genuinely nice folks. While I certainly do not agree with every opinion, I respect the ability of the regular posters on this board to carry on (mostly) civil debates on a wide variety of subjects. Even more importantly, there is an obvious and pervasive mutual affection shown toward each other, which would be the envy of most families!
I would love to someday be able to meet up for one of the SabreSpace events at a game, but with a paucity of posts I do not have the sense of familiarity with most of you that seems requisite for participating. Early on in my SS experience, I did meet Shrader for a Bruins game in Boston, but our main connection in that brief time was to have each others backs if trouble arose (which fortunately it didn't).
I do not post regularly for a few reasons.
1. I am an old guy and not facile on the keyboard, so it takes me a lot longer than most to type my responses. Definitely a drawback on Game Day threads.
2. Until the current stay-at-home situation, I did not have much time to spend on the computer. It was much easier to read what had been posted than to actually respond.
3. I have played hockey since childhood, and continue to do so twice a week. However, I do not understand analytics, and my appreciation for the game is based on experience and eyeballs. Not as easy with these tools to lay out a cogent explanation as it is using Corsi numbers, etc.
4. I am considered by most as a man of few words. I strongly adhere to the axiom, "Wisdom is the reward you get for a lifetime of listening when you'd have preferred to talk." I would say that some of the wisdom I have acquired has come from regular visits to this board.
Thank you all, and I hope to continue to follow (and occasionally post) for many years to come.
So well written. You capture a joy that is here. I like it when you do show up ... being a fellow man of few words, myself ... ?

I COMPLETELY get what you’re saying. I don’t like guys I like going to the Dolphins, Jets or Pats.

Good for Tua. Reason 3,891 I’m not a GM ... I would’ve played that one safely. Seems to me, some guys are just “injured” often.
For those interested ... YouTube Tightrope Surgery. Fascinating.

This is weirdly interesting.

California and New York have the first and second most billionaires in the country with 276. Kentucky has one. Obviously, it’s compassionate that privileged New York pays its fair share and that humble, working class, Kentucky declares bankruptcy.

Let me tell you, that was one slick and smooth presentation. There may have been twenty homes, 40 performers, and an orchestra, all at different places. it was seamless. Kudos! I listen to The Met on Sirius and attend a couple of The Met HDs in local theaters. I am no poser. It takes work to know and enjoy. Unlike 200 years ago, it’s probably not for the masses. It is beautiful, however. I read the history and the libretto for weeks in preparation. I download the opera and listen a few times. Nice work to your brother.
