That's exactly what I was getting at. Maybe if Marty is dealt, Mika would go to Rochester during the break to get into shape and prepare to get more starts up here.

Thinking about the last few posts some more. I am worried that he might take too long to trade Biron. If Biron is traded, Noronnen has to be ready to play, especially after the Olympic break, because he's going to get some playing time. Maybe trade Biron right before the roster freeze and assign Noronnen to Rochester for a reconditioning stint during the break? I know he was opposed to a reconditioning stint earlier in the year, but with Biron out of the picture he might change his mind. Anyone know if the roster freeze would prevent such a move?

Even though Marty played well on Thursday (well it sounded like it anyways), I don't think he should have gotten that start. I think the point of the rotation should be to give Miller a rest when he needs it. He had plenty of rest going into Thursday's game. Of course that's just my opinion. The opposite argument is, how is Marty supposed to provide effective relief if he doesn't get a start every now and then...even in slower stretches of the schedule.

I would prefer to see Miller get the start. While Ruff has to work out some sort of a rotation, I don't know if a every other game rotation is the best idea.

If that isn't showcasing, I don't know what is.

It is a cause for concern though, because the games were against teams we should be able to beat. Plus we're heading out on our West Coast swing in a few days. We usually struggle on that road trip. But I guess at the same time, we're struggling and still in the playoffs by 12 points, so it could be worse.

If we struggled with Phoenix tonight...I am not looking forward to LA on Saturday.
