“He’s a very good skater and he’s got good hands,” Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said about McCormick. “We’ve seen him score a couple of goals in camp. He can play in a lot of different situations for us. He understands that part of it will be he’s got to be there for his teammates. He’s got to be there to step in.”
