'"There's no set date. There's no timeline," Connolly said after taking part in his fourth practice this week since being cleared to skate with his teammates. "I'm not going to speculate about that right now. I just come in each day knowing what I have to do and work as hard as I can to get through."'

‘Gaustad, who plays on a line with Sabres leading scorer Chris Drury, was cut by a player’s skate early in the third period of Buffalo’s 3-2 win over Ottawa on Wednesday. Numerous stitches were needed to close the cut, but initial tests for serious damage were negative.’
‘The impetus for Connolly’s marked improvement came when he switched treatments to an experimental local treatment. Though he couldn’t remark on the actual scientific process of his rehabilitation, he appreciated what taking the chance University at Buffalo did for him, along with discovering a few other things that were holding him back.’
'Six weeks after the Buffalo Sabres were allowed to do so, they still haven't spoken to Daniel Briere about remaining with them beyond this season. It has been seven months for Chris Drury.'
'And that's the quandary that confronts Sabres general manager Darcy Regier as the NHL trading deadline looms less than three weeks from now: Keep in place one of the most reliable backups in the league in case anything should happen to Ryan Miller, or roll the dice and bank on Miller avoiding injury and/or a slump down the stretch and dealing Biron to augment other areas of the team.'
'Miller signed a three-year contract with the Sabres this past summer. He says Buffalo very much reminds him of his hometown Lansing, Michigan, and just finished building a house. "I'm not going to bide my time here, wait to get back to Michigan and let these parts of my life pass me by… that's the main reason I decided to buy a house and actually build a house."'
