'Goalie Ryan Miller had two screws inserted into his thumb, by all accounts the surgery went very well. Miller is scheduled to return to practice sometime in early December. That would put the time table for his return in the 4-6 week period originally reported rather than the gloomier 6-8 week time frame. Given how weak and shakey Biron has been, Miller time can't come soon enough to Buffalo.'
