Portland Pirates? forward Derek Whitmore indicated this morning, after the morning skate, that tonight?s game against the Manchester Monarchs was a big game toward deciding their future in making the playoffs. After going down 1-0, the Pirates scored three unanswered goals in the second period as they went onto win, 5-2, over the Monarchs before 5,903 at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Wednesday night.
