I think that diving call was crap. Pommy was leaning which is why he was knocked down a bit easier then normal.

This is like listening to a Sabres vs. Sabres alumni game... I mean I knew how many were on the Islanders, but hearing RJ say "Kozlov, Satan, Zhitnik" drives it home even more so.

No, they reviewed the goal AFTER the Buffalo goal, and yes they said that if that was a goal, the Buffalo goal would have counted. That's a BS rule. Play should be stopped at that point, not wiping-out an entire period of time. :rolleyes:

Seeing as how they lost opening night 1, and according to De opening night two was as well, I would like to invite them to Buffalo for a complementary "Opening Night 3" courtesy of the Buffalo Sabres.

Had a blast watching that one on the DVR after class tonight! It's funny, I was just mentioning to someone the other day that the scariest part about the Sabres was that they were winning and not playing up to their potential. Tonight, they played up to their potential. I am a very happy camper.
And in response to one of the posts above, they did say on Vs. that the new jerseys are the best selling jersey's in the NHL...and NHL merch sales are up 85% over last year!!
I would suggest reading BM's post tonight, interesting stuff.

Man everything went against the Sabres tonight. The Penalties were atrocious, the shot advantage was incredible, yet they STILL GOT A WIN!

I was at the game last night and was surprised to hear Riter going on and on about people leaving early. Yes, the 200 level was about half filled during the 2nd half of the 3rd (that happens EVERY game), but the 100's and 300's were at least 90% filled to the end (I'd estimate it at 95%, but it might have only been 90%).
There were empty spots in the 100's and 300's, but they were few and far between.
Surprised? Ritter likes to find stupid crap to try and talk about.
(Lets Go Buffalo vs Lets Go Sabres.... People Leaving Early when they weren't.... Ritter, talk about the damn game!)
