  1.  Interesting signing yesterday of 30 year old RT La'el Collins, who has started a lot of NFL games. Spencer Brown looking for a large raise with his rookie deal expiring after 2024. Just me speculating but wonder if Brown could now be dealt. Can't pay everyone. Maybe get  something for him now. (Draft pick)

Rousseau due a raise after 2024 and CB Douglas needs a new deal. Douglas is priority one, since they traded for him and he's very good at a key position. Rousseau and Brown, not so sure. Rousseau is playing for his future here if he's expecting a big raise. Needs to break out in 2024.

  2.  The dead cap hit was already counted for this season, whether Diggs was here or not. Beane has enough space for the draft choices and a little bit more. Can always redo a deal if needed. With Diggs gone and an out for Von Miller after 2024, that frees up 35 Mil in cap space for 2025.

The National media is beyond silly with their current clueless hot takes. Social media responses are even worse. Beane is always busy and it's 5 months until kickoff. Many new faces still to come before camp.

Beane also said twice - It’s not September.  Dude loves to trade.  Can see him moving up if he thinks the #3 or 4 ranked WR is available.

I never put anything past him.

Yet with no 3rd rounder, the trade capital may be lacking, unless you use the extra 2025 2nd from Houston in a package.   Day 3 picks galore but teams want more than that.

Funny thing is, that's kind of what happened with Sammy Watkins.

Sammy was all about the whirlpool in the trainers room. He wasn't moody.

Luckily, it's an insanely deep draft pool for WR's.

  5. Grit and leadership. It lacks..

Go back a couple weeks. Sabres 3 points behind their opponent that night, Detroit. Lead after the first and can close the gap to 1. Then they get run over the next 2 periods.

Since then, obvious struggles. A win here and there surrounded by a lot of bad games. Long stretches of floating and quitting.

Find some players (several) that show up with an edge. Then find some coaching that works on some fundamentals. Puck handling, faceoffs, positioning. Quit playing to the outside and send players to the middle to battle. D-men need to clear out traffic in front of the goalie.

Opponents must see this team as soft. Running "it" back is not an option.
