Crazy how much difference just a competent defense (not good) makes, which is why Kevyn should of added at least 1 more veteran d-man during the off-season or during the injuries, maybe we win a couple games out of those 8 losses.
I dunno maybe the goal just isn't play-offs this season, its really the only excuse.

With our actual normal roster were sitting at very close to 20 million dollars under the cap.

The New Jersey Devils can draft Jesper Bratt, Nico Hischier, and Jack Hughes over 5 years of "tanking", sign a bunch of veterans to surround them with and be the best team in the NHL who are currently on a 12 game win streak.
Meanwhile the Pegulas get twelve top 10 draft picks, two 2nd overall picks, and two 1st overall picks mixed in, are tanking twice as long as the Devils, and STILL somehow ice a bottom 5 team 20 million dollars under the cap floor. Sigh...
It's a straight joke.

Everyone knew this team needed goal-tending help and more toughness long before the season started and neither were addressed by Kevyn while we sit here with over 19 million dollars of cap space.
Defensive injuries? Oh were rolling with AHL players for a month or two until their back... oh that 20 million in cap space? F veteran d-man we could sign to a 1-2 year contract to help, that costs Pegula bucks.
And people wonder why fans aren't showing up to the arena...

This means Samulesson is probably out at least a month, Wouldn't put him on IR and call up Kale if it wasn't at least a sprain and a sprain takes 3-4 weeks min to fully heal + some physical therapy to build the strength back and stop leaning on one leg.

Can't rush Knee injuries imo, especially in hockey.
He will be out a month at least, it has to at least be a sprain or they wouldn't put him on IR, and that is a month min to heal.

The Sabres are literally dead last in the NHL on the powerplay with ZERO goals.
And it's been over 10 pp's now, If there is anything to talk bad about when it comes to Granato it is going to be this.
If Olofsson is not back out on the 1s PP unit the next PP I am going to blow a friggin gasket. Literally the BEST THING HE IS GOOD AT IS THE PP, We signed this guy to be a sniper on the PP. Why the F he is not out on the 1st PP unit? It makes ZERO sense the the proof is in the zero goal powerplay pudding.
Granato get your ***** together, this team could be looking even BETTER if our PP could score even at a 20% pace which still isn't good. If they can get this part of their game to actually work, HELLO GRANATO, this team could go on a roll with how well they are playing 5 on 5.

Can we please get Olofsson back out there instead of Mittelstadt? He would of shot the puck there instead of trying to pass it back over.
