Need some forwards who can carry the puck. Too many “get it off my stick pssses”. All season.

KA needs to see this physical pounding we’d be getting in a playoff series.

I think it's pretty ***** up he couldn't help out Girgensons dude has been here the longest
I don't think Any one would care here if he went for like a 7th rounder in 2026
I really, really hope it was Girgs saying he’d just as soon not make a move for a couple of months duty.

Visiting my kids and grandkids in the Nashville area and wanted to go to the game but decided I wasn’t going to fork out ~ $1k for the 7 of us. Whew. Feel like I hit on lottery ticket.

I think Whirling Dervish Skinner is the best Skinner.
Playing much more aggressive with Mitts. I think he was deferring the shot to Tage too often.

That dude is 1000 miles in the wrong direction for this franchise
Yeah and I just checked and Washington has enough cap space that it’s doubtful they’d give up too much to move him.

could we pick up a player / prospect to take on his contract?

They are not shocking results to me.
We had a lot of career seasons last year. The team got younger. They did not plan to adequately cover Quinn. The started the year with 3 goalies, which meant no goalie. They didn’t prepare to come out and win and they surprised no one. And yes, a few other nagging injuries that every team deals with.
Agree entirely.

Nice adjustment by Donnie splitting Tage and Skinner as that line couldn’t get out of our zone against TB top line.

Not in the NHL, no.
I'm over this juicebox crowd.
I like the way you say that.

I’d characterize our prospect pool as wide and flat rather than deep. A large amount of the same type of player at forward - so much so you couldn’t build a balanced NHL team.

Was Donnie’s on camera outburst before, during or after the bench penalty. I didn’t see what was going on when it was called.
And I did see MT’s post game interview. He was poised and very well spoken. Many of the items he discussed that make Fla so good are what we are lacking (team mix of youth and experience). Telling that he said the Sabres were playing chippy - good for us. Their strength was the difference. Much quicker to the puck and winning board battles. They owned the neutral zone.

I got a speech impediment from taking statins for so long. Same thing happened to my mother and one of my sisters, so they changed medicines. I am looking into it too. At his age, it could be that simple.
I get weird dreams but so far nothing with the speech. It’s not simvistatin is it?

Think most fans who boo are focused on this team’s effort and results, not past teams’ failures.
I agree 100% and I think the poor play is driven by fear. Fear of making mistakes and it gets self fulfilling to the point you get second guessing everything you do.

Years ago I worked for someone who said something that sticks with me today. He said “no one comes to work with the thought that “boy I hope I can do a lousy job today””. So what’s wrong? If they knew and had the ability they’d fix it, right? While he was here Eichel said we needed more experience and more toughness. We still need that.

The players were reacting to the Fire Donnie chants, not the boos. I’m okay with that and if it had stayed in the locker room we’d likely never know. Whether you like him or not, the Fire Donnie chants are in bad taste and I’m sure it meant a lot to him that the players thought that was over the line.

Further to my previous post here are some things I’d ask.
1. Probability of Tage, Jeff, Alex, and Dylan repeating their scoring? Impact if they don’t?
2. Probability of Devon leading our goalies to NHL average or better performance?
3. Probability of EJ and Conner raising our D to league average or better?
4. Probability of key players (name them) playing 70+ games.
5. Probability of Improvement in D offsetting insignificant drop off in O.
6. Probability of physical teams taking advantage of our young team.
7. Lastly, probability of Mr Peabody having another glass of Cab vs impact of waking up tomorrow without a headache. (hint: high probability high impact).
TBH, number 6 was my biggest worry going in and it hasn’t been as bad as I thought (but still not good).

Going back to my pre-retirement days Thorny’s post got me thinking had we done an impact probability matrix pre-season maybe the results to date wouldn’t be so shocking?
Why should Granato and the assistants be brought back?

If I’m the owner I’m torn between team make-up and coaching. If I fire the coach and nothing improves it’s on the the GM, right? A new GM would demand to hire his own coach and now I’m paying for two unemployed coaches. I’d “meddle” and talk to Clifton, Byram , and EJ and compare and contrast what’s going on here versus the winning orgs they came from. Then I’d sit down with GM and coach - separately. One option is to move Donnie into an exec role of player development.
