How would you characterize the type of players they've been drafting the past few years?

Looking at the way they've drafted, and the way they coach, it's pretty clear what vision they have for the team, and it's one of finesse. Unfortunately, I believe the sport still favors the teams with a mix of skill and toughness. And for the hundredth time, I don't necessarily mean fighting, although the better teams have guys that can and will.

Yeah, but, but, but... isn't this supposed to be the "new NHL" of speed and skill that we've been building our team toward? We'll just skate past them, make some slick passes and score. Right?

It would be awesome if our big guys played big.

You suggested that the only thing keeping them from being a playoff team is a real starting goalie. I believe their problems run deeper than that.

Interesting take. What is it about the effort, excluding goal-tending, from these last two games that leads you to that conclusion?

Yep, we are a dot on a scatter plot that jumps out and makes you say “WTF is THAT?!”.

Clifton might not be a top 4 defenseman, but he ain’t gonna back down. Unlike 95% of the roster.

Dunno. Would be nice to have another candid interview with Eric Johnson, like the one he gave earlier in the season. Wonder what he’s thinking right now.
