No I said namesake kin. I don’t know if that’s even a proper turn of phrase but I assumed the connotation was discernible.
But it’s not that common of a name, I’d guess there’s a reasonable shot
Well, you know what they say about what happens when you assume... 😜

Dahlin was open a lot but they feed Tage. They need to mix it up.
Yeah, how about the occasional slap-pass to a guy on the far post once in a while?

Just going to steal one of Rayzor's bits here...
Any Opponent's Keys to the Game Against the Sabres:
1. 1st period forecheck! From the start, attack them relentlessly in their own zone. They're really young and if you pressure them, they'll turn it over. (Ray says this at least 4x/month for the Sabres' own keys.)
2. Take away time and space from TNT and Skinner, but otherwise leave them alone. Don't hit them, ignore any whining from Skinner, and do nothing after the whistle. Lull them to sleep. But as soon as they get the puck on their stick, get on them quickly and activate your stick. They'll peel away from the pressure and disappear quietly from the stat sheet.
3. Average goaltending! That's all you need. As long as your goaltending doesn't implode, you'll find yourself up 2-0 and then can trap the hell out of the remainder of the game and regain/conserve the energy you used in the aggressive forecheck of the 1st period.
Give 20 minutes of good hockey from the start, and you've got the W.
Sad but true

Why does it feel like we could keep this up for another three or four hours and still not score?
Best chance is on own-goal off a defenseman's skate.

Panthers have slowed down their hits. Tired from last night or no need?
Probably both

Passing right in front of our net.... (sigh)

Someone(s) had the audacity to call Tuch a power forward multiple times on here. HAHA
He disappears something awful at times. This is one of them.

Small sample but Okposo in front of the net had made the pp look a lot better the last couple of games. Shame it took them 50 games before realizing that Tuch isn't a net front presence.
again I ask ... is Jeff skinner playing tonight ?? I'm at the point I'd like to see the Sabres give a sweetener for another team to take him off their hands. If you end up with the 7th overall pick. I'd trade that and skinner for the 25th pick. I'm done with him

I sure like how the Panthers park a guy directly in front of the goalie on the PP.

FWIW, Listening to a stream of the Panthers broadcast-- Panthers leading in shots from the slot 10-1.

Might come in handy in the 3rd period!

So, what do we need to do to get that kind of commitment to 200' play without fear of physicality out of the entire line-up?
Either coach them that's it's OK and even encouraged, or draft/trade for different players.

Sabres are completely incapable of playing the body.
It is so frustrating. Just watch how the Panthers do it very consistently.

I mean that's just too easy. Amazing how the Sabres seem to be on the wrong end of those frequently but almost never get any of their own.
Because we don't forecheck and go to the net like most other teams do.

I was going to ask the same thing. Their switch has completely flipped
why?
Probably something about lack of compete and playing direct.
