Byram is averaging 37 games per season.

He'd be a great hockey player if he, yknow, played hockey.

But he doesn't. He's at the Doctor's office.

Our top scorer was lost to a broken 3rd pair Defensman.

    Explain how that is good.

typical bad team move. Avs happy they dumped his salary and get a productive player back. No wonder the Sabres stay irrelevant

  2. Im 44 and been a huge hockey fan for a long time. I dont care anymore about this team. Bad efforts and they seem to not care. Tough to keep cheering on a lazy undisciplined team making pee wee errors and turning over pucks. We bet every year on the sabres at my fantasy football draft and i took them under 500 again this year. They were 1 game over last year

Yeah, probably wouldn’t be a good sign for other players the team might want to lure in the future.

He signed a contract. Nobody forced him to do that. Start winning and everything is good. I bet most of the players we have arent happy with the losing going on here but they keep playing.

The Sabres aren’t looking for roster players, and haven’t stated that was their intent at all when they decided they were going to trade 3 of their best players. They made it clear they are/were looking for prospects and picks, to start over.

I know well thats the issue i have.

Do you follow the team? I'm asking because they have a new director of amateur scouting, a new analytics head, and new assistant gm since the Quinn pick.

Yea i know they got karmanos and those guys but i guess im just not on board for another rebuild and thats obviously where this team is going

Because we've completely changed our drafting philosophy and how we draft the last 2 years. More importantly unless we fix the drafting, none of the rest matters.

Weve changed our drafting philosophy…. Fire the scouting staff, put pitures on a wall and blindly throw and thats who we draft! Taking quinn over rossi last year just showed they have no clue what they are doing

I was disappointed at that first myself too, but look into Levi a bit more.   yeah it is still underwhelming but not so much if you do that.

I dont mind prospects when we are not giving up our leading scorer. Most of these prospects, especially goalies, never even play in the nhl

He can only take the best of what is offered, or not move him. KA has been seemingly very patient so far, don’t see how we can criticize him already. It’s not as if he’s turning down a better offer.

He couldve waited for a better deal for reinhart or signed him long term last summer instead of trading him for a crapshoot of nothing. Same garbage, new gm. trade proven nhl players for picks and prospects. Most of these prospects dont ever work out thats why we keep finishing last

With the current state of the franchise being that the kids are learning to play without the top player on the depth chart, moving Eichel now could set up this franchise to win for years to come.

If the return is too good to pass up, don't.

Hahahahaha this franchise is doomed until we get some people in the right places that have any clue what they are doing. Do u actually feel confident KA can actually trade eichel for anything that you will be happy with? I sure dont

A Lindros return changes the fortunes of this team pretty quick.

Unfortunately GMKA isnt smart or savvy enough to get a haul like that. Hell get a bunch of picks and blow them on grigorienko thpe players. Cant wait to see what garbage we get for him. Hes under contract just keep him and if he dont wanna play let him sit out for the next 5 years

  12. Omg awesome we signed the guy that scores 5 goals a year but traded our leading scorer. Stanley cup here we come. Role players obviously win cups not goal scorers. Gmka is a moron to accept a lottery protected 1st and a crap shoot of a goalie prospect. This team is just haunted by bad decision after bad decision. Let sign guys like okposo and skinner long term and trade guys like reinhart and oreilley for jack *****. Not sure why the pegulas keep hiring these first time gms that are obviously way over their heads. Lets get rid of proven players for prospects scouted by the 2 guys we have left in the scouting department. Just typing this makes me realize how bad it really is. Sell the team and lets just be done with this garbage

Guess he wants to be here

Hahaha do any of these guys actually want to be here? This organization is a joke

I find it hard to believe they got that much for Risto but then again I always liked him and think the team will sadly miss his aggressiveness. We are a far too easy team to play against and without Risto there is no one to hit anybody. It is a good return mind you and I have no doubt Risto will do really well in Philly (and we have to face him a bunch of times which won't be fun)

i think he needed to go. i was one who wanted to keep him cause now this is the softest team in the nhl if they werent before. Only guy on our roster that had any grit. On the other hand a 1st round pick coming back is a lot more than i thought we would get
