I really do like the "potential" Vesey has in the NHL with this group of Sabres. It took some time, but because of our ownership, hockey dept management and facilities the Sabres are turning into a destination. Today we're Costa Rica...down the road? I wouldn't say hockey heaven, but hey we could all be goin' to Sizzler!
-
I still say he's signing here. More hoops to avoid tampering charges.

As per @Real_ESPNLeBrun, Cam Fowler trade talks heating up to the point where he could be moved before Friday night's draft. Stay tuned.
BUF amongst a number of teams interested in Fowler, but Sabres not believed to be keen on giving up No. 8 pick in the draft.
If a #1 has to be going back, it's gotta be next year. If #8 goes, hopefully part of more moving parts.

I guess I got the impression someone was checking video prior to a challenge during the Nashville game. One of the announcers made mention Phil Housley was talking to his tie prior to their challenge.
-
I just don't like all the delays. Same rules apply. If you're wrong you lose your timeout and may not challenge again.
-
I think challenges should be made without communication to the bench. Coaches should make a decision based in "the moment" not after a video coach reviews for you. This would stop a lot of this mess.

The paint is no longer peeling from my walls and a blue fog is now leaving the back bay of Biloxi for gulf waters. I was so torqued when the Phlyers tied it up. Great for Girgs and my hats off for "Indiana" Johnson. He makes every game an adventure.

It's autotuning...FINALLY!

I think this is already in Around the NHL: 2015-2016

I can assure you this opinion is steeped in profound ignorance. The rest of us should be more worried about those who think this way than the reverse.
Because the world is so perfect run by adults who grew up with the opposite. :P (not the right place for this)
What's the name of this thread again? You see, this is why people lurk. The sense of entitlement is strong in both of you. A light hearted response to someone else's thought/joke gets driven through the zamboni doors. Did I say take your kid down to Wal-Mart and beat them? I'm not that guy. Consequences for poor decisions on the other hand (take the car keys, grounding, detention, two minutes, no money, extra work, apologies, etc.) are all good. The "trophy" could be anything in life. As for not being the right place, is this not where you were talking about a "like" button? What? You can only read what I wrote and not what I said? A mod should be able to see through the trees. Why so serious?
-
Yes, with a trophy.
I'm afraid of a world run by adults who were never disciplined as kids and got trophies just for participating.

The purpose is to address rapid fire posters who reply many, many posts in a thread, but don't use the multi-quote button because they read and post, read and post. Others read everything and then reply to everyone using the multi-quote function.
Without it - you get the late-nighter coming in and making a series of one-line posts, but you have to scroll through the same avatar, signature and vertical space multiple times. TSW and TAC have always strived for clean interfaces. This is a part of that. This function has been around forever and it has never been an issue. The developers coded into their software because it is a highly requested feature.
Any poster can either wait (5/10 minutes. I don't remember) or simply edit their last post and include an original thought above it.

A like button might be a way to give newer posters some encouragement.
I'm a long time lurker; only commented a few times. But, please do not ruin Sabrespace and include a "like" button. I don't need a trophy just for showing up.

I think one of the reasons I will probably always be a bachelor is that I'm looking for my Anne Meara. You saw her and Betty White still sharp and active all these years.....and you can't help but say..."sexy!". She took care of that little funny bastard.
I was debating pulling up some old videos, or reading your Dad's war story again.
By the way, anyone who wants to read something awesome.....

You're right. Awesome and then some. I read this when I got home from work last night. Inspired, humbled, proud are just a few of the words I'll use to account for the time in my recliner last night. PA...I salute and thank your Dad. Nice work helping get this to paper.

I watched The Pacific over a couple days. I have an uncle that was in the Marines in WWII (He's passed on now). In 13 months his unit made four major amphibious assaults in the battles of Kwajalein (Roi-Namur), Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima with his division suffering more than 17,000 casualties. He didn't talk about it much.

I know everyone has their own opinion, but I really can't wait until the draft is here and over. The Sabres are picking 2nd, I just want them to take Eichel and then move forward.
Hearing the talk about them trading Risto, the Eichel pick and Girgensons to move up to one....or hearing about 'what would it take for you to move down' is already a tad bit stressful. I just want to know that the Sabres are getting McDavid or Eichel (looks like Eichel now) AND to know which up and coming young guys that are here already will be here next season. There hasn't been much to invest in with this team in the last few years..but Risto and Girgensons have been there, and I don't want to give them up.
+1. I do not want to take three steps back and step forward one. I like Eich!
-
I just don't see how this could happen. Mc (What's his name again?) is being looked upon as a national treasure. Edmonton would burn if they lost out on the next Great One.
-
I
Zona may take Marner, they have Knight teammates Domi and Dvorak.
On CBC TM said Eichel was a number one centre on a Stanley Cup team, hope he's right.I heard that too. He also said he rated him as a 19yo that could make an NHL team and be successful.
-
The board talking about 1vs2...my brain hurts.

We tanked to guarantee Eichel, not get McDavid. Had we not finished last we would be getting neither. Thank God we did.
Mission accomplished.
