  1. yes really. There are players that have talent and those that don't. Sometimes, actually, most times, IMHO, it takes repetitions for that to come out. Nolan likes the certainty of the known. That is Mitchell will do what is required 80% of the time. Grigorenko, 60%. Give Grigs more reps, meaningful ones and his talent will yield more results, but you have to nurture the talent. Nolan doesn't invest those minutes. He only played Larsson and Grigs regularly, when he had no choice either due to injury or GMTM trading away his mules. The results you see now are not of of Nolans doing, but evolution. To end this incessant chatter, I think Nolan will be back if we do not get Mc Eichel. He is the perfect placeholder. If we do get lucky there will be more interest in the job. Upgrade and move on.

Those meaningful reps are ones in the AHL. Players when they are called up have to be ready. They must earn meaningful reps at the NHL level.

I like the Detroit model. Keep them in the AHL for several years. When they come up they can really contribute. I respectfully disagree your evolution theory.

  2. I'll pass. For I remember it was you who sold the idea that it was noble to suffer on earth for rewards in heaven. But we do not need rewards in the hereafter, but bread now. But bread is the fruit of foresight and toil, not unrestrained passion for the moment, but a calculated plan for existing beyond the moment. Don't blame me as the inquisitor, look within and ask did I task humanity with godlike expectations when I designed the very frailities into their soul?

No but apparently Flynn and Mitchell, both who do not see the ice with any regularity were deserving of minutes that Larsson and Grigorenko are now eating. Would you trade Larsson for Flynn? Mitchell? Johan and Mime could have been geetii g valuable time when we.went 0 for January. Nolan is channeling desparation, I don't his hand in the development of any of these guys. I see natural selection.

    natural selection really?
  3. Why? Because a bunch of journeyman like Ellis, Dalpe and Mezzaros are playing for their next meal? If they played like this when it mattered I would agree. This is white noise.

Ellis and Dalpe were not here when it mattered I think. Was Mezz supposed to be a first line game changing defenseman ever?
  4. Either you want McEichel or the W. At this point there are no style points. Besides you wanged GMTM fired.

I want the worst team to finish 30th. If that is the sabres so be it. A win makes us even with a game in hand. I have been calling for Murray to be fired yes. I have had a little change of heart listening to his interview the other day. I loved everything he said. I wish he had said it sooner.
  5. It's not like Murray chose the tank, he kind of inherited it from Darcy. The poop boat was too far down the shart creek at that point.

He's a blunt, honest scout. I love him, and wish he would share Connor dreams with me. And I highly doubt all people that would classify themselves as "anti tankers" hate Murray.

I only speak for myself not all anti tank people. I only wanted to use that as my personal reasoning.

  6. It seems like you're completely ignoring the situation the team is in and the obvious plan that has been in place for years now.

We have all suffered through the plan. If I am wrong so be it but that IMHO is how I see Murray. He let's the coaches coach which is a good but is not very good at working with coaches in any other capacity. He sits on his perch dreaming of Connor.
