  1. But I'm confused as to what you're getting at when you say...

    [/size]

Who are you claiming to work with/communicated with?

EDIT: Not trying to sound like a dick, I just don't understand where you're coming from.

Is it the chronological order that Buffalo's social media guy Craig Kanalley added prospects to the team's twitter?

  2. From Feb, so I apologize if this has already been posted, still pretty cool

Who Are The Potential Steals From The 2013 Draft (4th Round & Up)?

    1. Hudson Fasching – U of Minnesota, NCAA, RW, 6’3, 214 lb. – 118 (4th) to LA.

    2. Ben Harpur – D, Guelph, OHL, 6’6, 212 lb. – 108 (4th) to Ottawa.

    3. Saku Mäenalanen – RW, Jokipojat, Mestis, 6’3, 185 lb. – 108 (5th) to Nashville.

    4. Brenden Kichton – D, St. John’s, AHL, 6’0, 190 lb. – 108 (7th) to Winnipeg.

    5. MacKenzie Weegar – D, Halifax, QMJHL, 5’11, 207 lb. – 206 (7th) to Florida.

What a crowded 108th pick that was, eh, hockeywriters?

  3. Yea I counted them as teal. Any official list of colors for the marlins is a complete lie because they use every shade of every bright color this side of the sun on their uniforms/stadium.

That's the rumor about the Marlins, at least. Like unicorns, they could be any color, but nobody has ever seen them.

  4. Did anyone watch these guys last night?

Fasching didn't score, but was in front of the goalie when Minnesota scored on an early power play. He took an unnecessary tripping penalty, but also showed some good outside speed in the third period. He gathered momentum, took the puck wide a couple times and had a nice pass, then a pseudo-wraparound. He's a young player in a physical conference and he didn't overpower anyone that I could see. The college route will give him plenty of time to get polished. The announcers talked him up a little. As a freshman he is being leaned on by the number one team in the nation, he is putting up sexy numbers on the year, but he didn't do anything flashy in this single viewing.

  5. Eagles, Packers, Wild, Stars, Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Jazz, Jets, Athletics all have it as a primary color.

Seahawks, Canucks, Marlins, Sharks, Jags, Dolphins, Mariners all have some type of green as a secondary.

Damn my drunk brain has too good of a memory.

That sound you hear is the flushing of 3,116 credible posts down the drain.

    Miami Marlins:

    Colors

Black, Red-Orange, Silver, Blue, Yellow, White

Their blue just kinda looks teal after years of actually being teal.

  6. Why did you have to do this???? Now I have visions of Pegula demanding we get the guy, because anyone that can beat Penn St. needs to be taken away....

    Delete! Delete! Delete!

    "Taken away" indeed...

It's impressive foresight from Murray, locking down step 2 early.

    1. Sign 6'5 240 lb Penn State forward Zach Saar when he becomes free agent,

    2. Acquire some rival schools' stars,

    3. Command Saar to destroy those punks on the first day of prospect camp.

  7. Tank, don't the Caps have a Russian kid who is good? Kuznetsov. I thought people were excited about him

Kuznetsov doesn't fit this list's age criteria.

    BORN: MAY 19, 1992 (AGE 21)

"The prospects eligible for the list require a birthdate no later than 1993 and can’t have any NHL experience. Therefore, several first-round picks that are still deemed prospects such as the Minnesota Wild’s Matt Dumba, Buffalo Sabres’Rasmus Ristolainen and Philadelphia Flyers’ Scott Laughton were ineligible for the list for the time they spent in The Show."

  8. Sabres had Brendan Perlini at the game tonight as a guest. He got a tour of the arena and got to meet the team. Is this a common thing for eligible draft players to go to NHL arenas and meet teams? Anyone know?

Jason Woolley is Brendan's agent, so that probably unlocks a few doors. The kid has been to quite a few Sabres games this year on his own, too.

  9. Hextall now Assistant GM for Flyers.

"To me, [Hextall] is probably the most highly thought-of guy in the League who is not a general manager," Holmgren said. "The fact that he was in the Los Angeles organization, you saw the success he had."

"He won a cup in LA by helping to acquire studs like Mike Richards and Jeff Carter up front," Holmgren didn't say, "and by building a strong foundation around the one thing Philadelphia Flyer hockey stands for: strong, reliable goaltending."
