I hate that the one little segment of f'n street that happens to be closed in the City of Buffalo is actually causing problems for me because it just happens to be right on my route to work. WTF!

Here's a quick solution:
Favre: Shut the hell up and go quietly into retirement, you legacy-tainting, egotistical, complaining ungrateful SOB. You think you're bigger than the sport. Don't let getting your name as a ticker item on ESPN go to your head.
Sundin: Make a damn decision already, and stick with it.
Manny: Maybe you need to stop being Manny. Suck it up, keep your mouth shut, and just go out there and execute as a member of the Red Sox. You'll get that release at the end of the season.

Umm, OK glad to know other people saw Lydman fight tonight. For a second there I thought someone had slipped some illegal substance into my beer. :beer:.....finally get to use that smiley!

I watched Boston vs. the Rangers on Monday and the Bruins were an absolute joke that night. Little did I know that I would be seeing the sequel the next night against the Sabres. I thought for sure the Bruins would be fired up but man they looked disinterested and broken. I'd expect more of the same tonight, something to the tune of 6-2. You know Savard will probably get one, and maybe Glenn murray too, but we'll light up their goalie(s) again.

Ugh, Lydman was TERRIBLE 2nite. What a costly giveaway on the 4th goal, he didn't even look where he was putting the puck he just flipped it up the boards where there were THREE Islanders players...there's no excuse for that kind of play. He and Campbell were a team-leading -3 tonite.
And surprise, surprise, we are out-hit again tonite, 24-13.

IMO all of you saying that we don't have the "it" factor lately are dead on. Lindy needs to shake things up now, because we have had a really bad stretch here. Even the games we won weren't exactly wonderful wins. They were more like wins we barely eeked out. Lindy needs to light a match under these guys, bench some people if need be. Get Stafford in there again. Hell, call up Zagrapan. Sit some of these veterans that aren't skating hard., let 'em know there are consequences to their actions! I think too many guys have gotten too comfortable and they have lost the killer instinct that made this team so successful early in the season. Combine that with desperate hockey/better scouting by the opponents and you have a mixture that has proved deadly for the Sabres as of late.

If it weren't for Marty it would have been 6-2 at that point so I don't get why everyone is giving him grief...why don't you discuss why we only scored 2 goals again...the pathetic passing...weak play in our own zone/horrible backchecking...the horrible stickhandling...I can go on...

I don't know how many times (not just tonight) I've watched other teams' players taking second and third swipes at Miller after a whistle with no response from any Sabre.
And if Tallinder's out for a while again, I smell a mediocre couple of weeks.
It is pathetic. This team IS soft. Very good, very skilled, but VERY soft. So let me bring up one of the things I have stood by since we lost McKee this summer...DARCY for God's sake get us another defenseman in here. Get us someone who can move people in front of the net and not just stand there like a statue. Now with Tallinder out it is even more of a concern. Numminen looked his age tonite and Kalinin is just awful. Ugh! They left Miller out to dry tonite

Emery will make or break the Senators tonight. He was named one of the NHL's "3 Stars" last week (per TSN.ca: Emery backstopped the Senators to three consecutive victories, posting a 0.66 goals-against average, .977 save percentage and two shutouts. Emery improved his season record to 15-9-0 with a 2.42 goals-against average, a .923 save percentage and three shutouts.)
So he's hot right now, which to me is strange because he always looks so rattled in there.
BTW, Comrie isn't playing for them 2nite is he?

Keep an eye on #55 Ben Eager of the Flyers. I got a feeling he's going to be stirring the pot tonite and probably trying to run our star players. This is one game where I hope Peters is in the lineup.

This is one of the biggest beat-downs I have ever witnessed...its not even fair! How about we let Philly have 8 skaters at once?
By the way, the goal by Afinogenov was sick! Unreal. I don't remember who but someone posted on here a few days ago that we need one of those blowout games, well we got it!

I hope Mair or Peters or someone runs Kasparaitis thru the effing boards...I still hate that guy, whether or not the hit on Connolly was clean. He's a dirty player and hopefully he'll get what's coming to him tomorrow night. Anyways yahoo.com is predicting Weekes will get the start....we'll see, either way I'll take Buffalo 5-3 with an empty netter sealing the deal.

I am beyond fired up. I love this team and I think we have another great chance at hoisting the cup. Yeah I said it. And I hope Lindy brings the team out to the bench for the banner raising...that should get the (bad) blood flowing :)

Dude, Connolly just got effing destroyed open ice. I'll have to watch some replays of that one to see if Schaefer threw the elbow on that one. Looks like Timmy's gonna be done for a while, I hope to god he didnt get another concussion but it certainly appears that way

The Flyers are looking like a frustrated team through 2 periods.....but we gotta keep up the tempo to get the win, obviously. We can out-skate this team throughout this series, IMO.
By the way, the non-calls are really pissing me off in this game...did you see Briere get absolutely mugged by Gauthier in the first period??? That was ridiculous.

With Toronto now OFFICIALLY eliminated (can I get a hell yeah?) it makes me more worried about tomorrow. We don't need any more injuries going into the playoffs, and you can bet Toronto is going to be in a bad mood after being eliminated. So do you think Lindy will dress Peters tomorrow to ensure that the Maple Laughs will have to answer to somebody? Also, will there be attemped "revenge" on Tucker or will that just be forgotten? My guess is that Peters will not play and we will throw some hits on Tucker, but not too big of a deal....even though I wish someone would kick the snot out of Tucker

The PP goal there was a great illustration of what's wrong with our defense...."Loodman" goes into the corner, wayyyy out of position, and "Talleeender" makes an abosolute bonehead move leaving the front of the net to pressure Alfredsson....who makes no mistake with a great pass

Blue--that is a crazy story. Can't believe they saw you and actually laughed. You have a lot of self control. If that were me, I'd be facing assault charges right now.
Onto my complaint--parking garages. Specifically the one I park in each day in DT Buffalo. It's fricken horrible. I drive 10 minutes to go up 7 floors. And the parking spots are not the typical size---they are at least a 3rd smaller than the average spot (unofficial measurement). And this leads to subsequent complaints:
1) Paying $70 a month to park is a POS garage that frustrates me each morning when I arrive and evening when I depart.
2) Going off of Blue's complaint, my car now has a nice family of dents on both the driver's and passenger's side from ignorant morons that don't park within the damn yellow lines.
3) People that are not monthy parkers that are obviously in the garage for the first time. I am stuck driving behind them going up 7 floors. The reason this is annoying is they are oblivious to the fact that all of the spots on floors 1-6 are TAKEN. They seem to think there will be a magical spot waiting just for them even after seeing floor after floor completely full. So what do they do? Five miles per hour, riding the brakes, for 7 floors. Then when they finally find a spot, they have to back in, making you have to wait even longer for them to clear the way. A-holes!
