WOW they just called Rivet for cross checking?!?!?! It just goes to show how smart a hockey player briere is. Biggest mistake this organization ever made was letting him go.

4 unanswered. They need to step up and score before this period ends or its lights out. If not the flyers will just sit back and play some really boring hockey in the third period and shut this game down.

Connolly has to bury that. I hope he has at least 15-20 goals by the trade deadline so the Sabres can get some value for him.

Kinda surprised to see the Sabres' penalty killing ranked so low. Then again I think the Sabres usually start off slowly under Ruff and end up somewhere solidly in the top 10.

I think if he looks good, send Gerbe down, keep him up, Niedermeyer will go back in when he returns.....
I think Luke is a better NHL player and deserves a shot. Gerbe has worked hard but has not done much. Would gerbe have to clear waivers to be sent down?

Who plays with the play makers?
Who takes away from the team by being the size of a small 8th grader? If you are going to be that small and bring no physical presence to the game you need to be at least a point/game player. not point/week. He will be sitting again as soon as p-ville is back.

I will never understand why fixing the PP was Darcy's top priority this summer. It was the number one reason they lost the series to Boston and they did nothing about it.

I would like to see Thomas with the C. I think it would take some off the pressure off himself and spread it on the rest of the forwards.

As usual, this is the Sens games to lose. They are playing the same way they usually do against them. And Roby just said it, pressure. They can't play against a team that forces them to make a decision.
I hope I'm wrong but I feel like it will probably end up close to what the score is now.
Your right, it is going to be a tough 3rd period cause the sens are going to sit back. But the Sabres are clearly more skilled and have a better coach. I think they will break through the back-check and tie it up in the first 10 minutes. If not I hope something interesting happens because I'm not looking forward to another boring B-Lo vs. NJ game tomorrow with 2 teams playing the same D-first system. Just thank the hockey gods Biron is sitting tomorrow night so we don't have to watch another 1-0 game.

The fans are lifeless because they know this team isn't making the playoffs this year. Frigging terrible on-ice product at home yet again.
How do you explain the same lifeless crowd last year when they won the division?
