Quite a show tonight. This team has really got something. There were times during the game where they looked pretty rough in their own end, but they seemed to remember how to pull it out. You don't want to get out of your seat.

This was definitely one of the best games of the season, it seemed like both teams were almost afraid to make an aggressive move in fear of giving the other team a break. Pyatt did look like a hockey player. The guy who still seems to be stuck in a rut is Lydman. Don't know how much it's been noticed, but he's given the puck away a lot since he came back from the injury. Today, his game wasn't bad, I didn't notice any bad giveaways...

Drury's got a number of assists, great face off wins, etc. I'm not terribly concerned about him. I was disappointed the first two periods they seemed to be playing in cement. They picked it up the third period, however. We'll see how they respond tomorrow. I think the Islanders will be fired up after losing the season opener in Buffalo.

Also, Rasmussen, who could never score when he was a Sabre is all fired up tonight...even scores a goal.

I'm just hoping the last two games are the exception, rather than the first eight. This is really killing me. Tallinder plays a very good game, then makes a stupid mistake like tossing the puck over the glass.
