Took the family down to Allegany for a picnic and I turned off the cell phone and the radio so I could come home and watch the Bills game on tape. Everyone was able to keep it a secret except Jennifer Seymour Sommer who kept giving me a hard time about not knowing the score.

My friend claims that texting has improved his marriage. Instead of his wife calling him for various requests and information about their kids, she texts him. The upside is that when she texts him, no matter what she might say, all he hears is her "happy voice." She could text a big SCREW YOU to him and all he'd hear is an invitation.

I am a bad father. We decided that since we are an all cellular family and that Jacob(10) is now running around the neighborhood- or will be when the weather gets good- that we would add him to the plan for $10 a month. He will only get the phone when we want him to have it however. We will not be sending our 4th grader to school with a phone.
