No to Ruff. You don't go backwards, forge ahead with someone from outside the organization.

Anyone have that meme where the Sabres player is holding golf clubs over their head in place of the Stanley Cup? I need that image.

I always harp on desperately getting the loser point as opposed to the brutal 1 goal regulation losses.
Buffalo has 30 wins and 5 OT losses.
The NY Islanders have 29 wins and 14 OT losses.
Guess which team is in the playoffs as of today.

UPL was ass today. His sucking was the difference in this game.
He wasn't in top form that's for sure but I won't blame him. It feels like he's taken the L for several 2-1, 3-2 type games where he's played well and wasn't rewarded. Didn't he lose a 1-0 game too? The Sabres should have had 6 goals yesterday at least. Yes, they are all kicking themselves for "gifting" Anaheim their 4 goals but no NHL team is going to play a perfect turnover free game. That shouldn't be the expectation. And UPL has bailed the club out on the bad turnovers for the most part.

That’s why the 7-0 win was fraudulent. makes their stats looks better but the team can’t win low scoring games. Need to trade some of the younger guys and get experience here. behind the bench too.

No team loses more home games in regulation than the Sabres in the Pegula era. Sell the team Terry!
Such a bummer that on Feb. 7th the Sabres are basically playing exhibition games till the end of the season.

I would not go to a game with free tickets, and I was a huge fan for 30 years with seasons..
But anyway, this team has no culture of winning and making the playoffs. It's really hard to blast off with a bunch of young guys. I don't know what the exact answer is? Teams with the culture of winning like Tampa can get injuries and call up a bunch of guys from the minors,,,and they still win. Maybe not at the rate they used to, but the expectation and culture in is place. Maybe Buffalo needs to swap out some guys that have no history of team success for Vets that have been there and done it.

Say it every week of every year. They just cannot get enough losses to OT to at least get a point. Especially at home. So many regulation losses.

Last year new Jersey went from being one of the worst teams in the NHL to being one of the best. This year, Vancouver who was terrible last year and like 30 points beneath the Sabres is doing the same thing in the Western Conference as they are now on top of the conference with 51 points(tied with Colorado but have played 1 less game). They also seem to have no issues defending while generating offense as they lead the NHL in goals with 142 and also lead in goal differential at +46, 13 goals better than the 2nd place Kings in that department.
Literally when does the BS with this team end? Year after year teams pass us on their rebuilds and go from terrible to really good and yet the Sabres make a smaller jump and now fade back again. Toronto passed us long ago in their rebuild and have maintained it. Even Philadelphia is showing signs of being decent now. But the Sabres once again can't get it together and are near the bottom of the league again. Vancouver seems to have no issues with it's young players defending well while still generating offense, but the Sabres can't seem to figure it out.
So tiring to watch team after team after team start rebuilds and pass us in 1/4 of the time it's taken us to even get decent and then end up falling off again. It's inexcusable. It's inept. It's time for something to change. How is this acceptable? How is Adams looking around watching these other teams continuously go from worst to first and sitting there thinking they need more "time"?
You've had 12 years. Get it together NOW or get gone.
Yep. I’m always saying, other NHL teams are down, have rebuilds, Win, have down cycles, rebuild again, Win, etc… all the while the Sabres stay at the bottom. Think of all the examples like this. It’s really pathetic with this franchise. Please sell the team Terry! any owner would do better, just by accident. and you wouldn’t have to upgrade the arena. Just sell.

Too bad for Dion Dawkins. Seems like recently every game he attends and bangs the drum, the Sabres get boatraced.
Seattle is just one of those teams that we can’t beat.

Seth has better hair. Hire Seth.

Rangers lost last night in a "low energy" effort so we should expect them to come out hot. Buffalo will need to be good tonight and shouldn't expect the goalie they face to be trash.
Go Sabres. Go Bills.
Seems like a lot of opponents “get right” vs Buffalo after a poor effort in their previous games. Meanwhile the Sabres should be the most desperate team every game based on years of ineptitude.
But anyway, hopefully it’s a good game for the boys. The Leafs let in so many soft goals the other night it’s going to take more effort and hard work today.

It’s like the players had a pregame meeting and decided, Let’s get Don fired tonight. And they executed to perfection.

I like Donny. He’s a good hockey man from a solid family. too bad this team laid him out to be axed like this. But it has to happen.

Over the past how many years, there can’t be a more miserable NHL franchise. I don’t think there even is a 2nd place. No franchise is close to the misery Buffalo fans have endured since Terry bought the team. I’m at a loss for words.

Wow, didn’t we beat this team by the exact same score last season? it’s payback time for sure.

Pegula got very lucky Mcdermott and Beane worked out the way they have. But i give Pegs full credit for interviewing and hiring them.
He needs to sell the Sabres. They have been nothing but crap since he’s owned them. absolute garbage. and the arena needs upkeep repairs asap

I actually thought Jack Quinn being back was a great omen tonight. lol

Been saying it for 2 years. Sell the team Terry. They are absolute ***** with you as an owner and nobody, not the best hockey minds in the word can get out from under it in Buffalo.

Lol. Feels so normal to have a depressing home loss. How pathetic that is.

Assuming they start UPL for Arizona. I’m gonna give the big guy the benefit of the doubt that he was a bit sluggish coming off his 10 day illness. He should be better as a backup to Levi. For now Levi is the man though.

As my son tells me… Devon Levi is Him.
He may not win them all but the kid is playing very well especially his last 4 games.

How does a team come out like that in the first period and not even compete? Like they don’t even want to be on the ice and break a sweat?. Hey let’s just chase the Avs around the ice so we look like we’re doing something. what a disgrace to that beautiful Sabres logo on the jersey.

Dang, even Robinson can’t save the Sabres from themselves.
