shades of boston and toronto in this game... except everytime this happens were given more time to make a comeback... except everytime were less and less effective at doing it...

yea i was listening to it on the radio... was a great game... i was there for a few minutes at the HSBC too... was looking for a slug jersey of any sort... got a white one... but i could hear the crowd easlily from the store... they were roudy...

And Miller plays well after a bad game. I don't know how he played last night, but I'm sure he's not too happy about letting in 4.
i think he played a decent game... weak on the blocker side but some there were some bounces and the puck just landed in front of a canadians player... not much he could do...

ill be watching it on leafs tv tonight... that channel was forced upon me by my cable company... oh well it comes in handy once in a while

i think miller has definatly shown he's the better netminder now... we just need to stay consistant... thats whats most important... win another on the road and then go from there and start fresh at home... this can be done...

brutal! just brutal... i always hate to complain about the refs... but the sabres could barely stay on there feet coming out of the zone... stupid stupid last period.... not happy... emery did a good job but more had to be done... why can't they play the other 40 mins of the game like the played the middle 20 min's! damn it!

I think it also needs to be said that the last three Buffalo goals have moved into Ray Emery's head and furnished a very nice three-bedroom condo. :)
haha agreed.... that team best pray that hasek is ready.... even if he is... im not to worried.... i think they'll ride emery but that team now has to sit on this embaressing loss for 3 days... i want to see the look on mucklers face again when they blew it... volchenkov is in for it LOL....

Someone help me out here. How does a review in hockey work exactly? Does it take INDISPUTABLE evidence to show that the the REFS call was wrong (like in football)? Or do they just make a call on what they see on the replay? We could use a break tonight by the way... Hope this gets us a little pissed off.

it better get us alot pissed off... there better be boston players lieing all over the ice when we play the bruins next... i want this team to be furious... based on the way emery is playing this game is over.... done and done... time to look forward and see if we can beat our whipping boys the bruins... there always good for a win...

yes this is starting to get redundant... and stupid... the sens are good but not this good... we should be able to score goals on emery he's not THAT good... someone needs to run the goalie or do something to take some of that mass talent off of that team... that way we can see how well they'll do with mike morrisson leading them to the playoffs... god this is aggrivating.

I think people prefer to just say that from October 5-March 16 were a fluke, and that this is the real Sabres that we have seen in the last 2 games. :lol:
I remember people posting the same type of things in every slump, and then disappear as soon as the team starts winning.
Agreed so many people will jump on you because you team is in a mini slump... even ottawa has had a slump or two... I think we've been spoiled a little bit this past few months... time to wake up.

I will not be there tonight, but if any Montreal fans in attendance try to start that STUPID "ole ole" chant, they are to be immediately drowned out with a chant of "LET'S GO BUF-FA-LO"!!

im thinkin a tighter predition this time... maybe 4-3 in overtime or regulation... montreal is slowly starting to regain some momentum behind huet... so we have to be careful not to under estimate them.

have the sabres actually made someone other than me not think two sh--s about the super bowl in anticipation for tuesday's game? Seriously, its super bowl sunday and i just can't wait for montreal. Try explaining that to the land of nascar, where i live.
haha for me its the exact opposite... try explaining your anticipation for Daytona 500 in february when hockey is in full swing and they olympics are about to start... to each there own i suppose.

There's only one goal that went in tonight that Miller had any chance on, and that was a deflection on a rush (the shorthanded one).
He played spectacularly tonight.
I'm not down on Biron, but I feel a whole lot better when Miller starts, and I'll bet everyone else does, too.
That call on Grier was Horseshiat, but so was the tripping call on Steen when Vanek tripped over his own feet.
Vanek is coming on, boys. He's controlling play a bit more, and he's crafty with the puck. Good to see!
Pominville is really impressive, too.

Please register (even under that great screenname), especially if you're going to be that condescending. Many of us disagree on things, but Dave B. has always been civil, and I would expect him to be treated similarly.
My guess is that he's watched the Sabres long enough to see our top 10 scorers (which at max goes back to Mogilny; not exactly old-time material)..
And if you asked most of us at the beginning of the year--when you may or may not have been reading this board (note again about your lack of registration)--we would have been happy to see a mere playoff spot. Especially some of us that lived elsewhere and came back (e.g., me) or others who may still live away. Now that this quite amazing season is afoot, we're hoping for more, and having fun hoping. That's fun in itself.

agreed with that... your a guest here... yea free speach and all that BS but guess what... alot of guys put up money to keep this place alive and running... the least we can do is keep it civil, informative and fun.

I just picked mine up last night...
All of the early 90's stuff is great - Lafontaine, Mogilny, Hawerchuk etc...That's when i first started going to games on my own, having a few pops at the Aud,etc...
I was pissed at the Mayday portion...the best part of the call is " how do you spell second round"... they cut it too short...oh well
The Sabres should wake up and realize there is a market for anything old or blue and gold...a dvd would be a no brainer...
i think they have a large amount of blue and gold merchandise... almost anything you can get in red and black you can get in blue and gold... some of the arena merchandise booths are dedicated stricktly to blue and gold merchandise actually... i think they've recognized it pretty well... just some of it is expensive because its part of the 'vintage nhl' line. they tag 20 bucks more onto a jersey because of a brand line.

2000 was by far the highlight of all new years... i mean we pretty much won the first game of the new millenium and in decicive fashion.

agreed... from where i was watching... the leaf annoucers said they enjoyed the game because the refs took a backseat and let the two teams play....
IM SORRY WAIT!.............. is there STILL a grey area in the NHL rulebook or is it just me... i thought it was cut and dry..... i saw soooo many hooks slashes and holds that could have been called... but they let it go... there killing the game i tell ya... killin it!
