I think we outplayed Tampa tonight, and that has me thrilled. These games are going to turn into wins very soon. Leafs, Habs, Devils, Flyers coming up. we're going to get some wins.
I think Gionta is a giant anchor on a line that already has a mismatched pairing with Kane and Eichel.
Right now I hate the Lightning like I hate the Leafs and Bruins when they beat us.
And if I see one more power play with Eichel on the ice that has Gionta, Moulson, or McGinn bringing the puck into the zone themselves, and then turning it over, I'm gonna freak out.
I have to agree. Very happy to see Sam play and he did a great job. I'm a happy camper.

Good post. I obviously don't live in Buffalo but as someone on the outside from what I can see he has done more for that city in a short time than anyone. I only wish there was a Billionaire willing to do the same for my little city. What a fortunate stroke of luck that he chose Buffalo.
Last week a cousin visited me from Buffalo and I asked about the downtown area and she said it is amazing in how it is growing and looking beautiful. I asked what she thought of Pegula and she said they are gods in the city.

So now I'm convinced he's trying to say Yeichel. Then he seems to overdo the enunciation of Eichel to draw a contrast. It's just not working.

I just finished watching the game on DVR and I think Rick is going for something like JACKEL. Still not working for me.

Three things are happening at once. It's a Supermoon. The moon is closest to earth in its orbit, so it looks larger than usual. There's a total lunar eclipse. And that will result in a so called blood moon where, during the totality of the eclipse, the moon will look reddish or coppery. It's well underway, so if skies are clear where you are, look to the east. This won't happen again until 2033.
I've been watching it off and on tonight here in PHX. Looks way cool.

Eliminating the legal issues, why would you nor make this deal for reinhart? Your basically giving up Moulson and a pick tk get a local kid who already is what reinhart may become. And after seeing what his siblings have done so far, I would be leary in putting a big wager on Sam becoming anything big in the NHL.
But of course that's only if the legal issues aren't true and he did nothing wrong. Otherwise that and the drunken partying would not be worth the headaches of even considering a deal.......
Chicago doesn't trade him. Don't want him.

Let this play out and let the facts come out in the Kane case. We have no clue if the person is under aged as of yet.
This still has to play out in a court of law if it goes that far but P Kane has hurt his rep beyond repair for sponsors if he is innocent in this (I want to say affair, but someone would say affairs are consensual) legal event.

I'm not updating the home PC until I see the bug reports and it's a 8 year old 7 Pro machine. However, I will be updating my work windows 8.1 laptop so I can test software compatibility with our programs. I'll let work be the test machine.
I'm interested in everyone's opinion when they update.

So it looks like we've got two years left of hockey in Glendale:
The new deal, if approved, will expire in 2017... Just in time for them to move to another city along with the league's two new expansion teams.
If the city of Arizona doesn't save them there's no doubt in my mind they're elsewhere in 2017-18.
The Suns are in the market for a new arena downtown and there is talk about making it for both hockey and basketball. The city of PHX would like the Yotes to move back to downtown so this is good news for me on the deal if they can swing it for the team to play downtown.

You only have so many contracts and yes, some of what we traded will become very good players but you can't always wait for the talent to develop if it ever does. Grigs will be in the KHL in a year in my opinion and Zads is one, when he grows up, will be a good one but that all depends on him.

Don't forget UB football and a it's Academic as well.
I loved It's Academic as a kid and for those of you old enough to know of SCTV (Toronto) back in the 70's they did a great spoof based on It's Academic and PBS.
But alas, I did watch it every Saturday it was on and Van is such a part of WNY broadcast history and is a legend IMO.

Rest in Peach Van. A true great one and for me he will always be the voice of the Bills. I grew up with him and the Bills in the 60s and beyond.

They may not be streaming because they are also charging $10 for the first time ever. Streaming would cut down on revenue

So I'm going tonight, and if the game was streaming...I'd still be going. I want to see it in person, and I suspect I'm not the only one. Not putting it online is just a poor decision.
I already have the date marked for when the Sabres are here in PHX. Can't wait.

Me too in this thread. I was about to get my chair and sit in the parking lot but it's a civil conversation, but I came here for Sabres news in camp and observations from those lucky enough to go the FNC.
