  1. Hmmm...I see chuck trying to get Jimmy disbarred and it somehow brings down Kim thus ending Jimmy and Kim.

That would definitely make the most sense, and it might play out exactly that way. I'm just thinking that a.) they have to come up with a surprising/shocking resolution to this since we will have all summer to lead up to it, and b.) we know that the future Jimmy/Saul is still legally practicing law. So if Chuck follows through and this gets Jimmy disbarred, I would doubt he'd ever be able to turn around and practice again in the same town and in such a short time span. Even with a name change.

  2. I'm guessing he does either literally or figuratively

Here's my complete guess on what happens next: Rather than going to the authorities with his recording, Chuck instead plays it for Jimmy. He will try to once again blackmail Jimmy into leaving the profession or maybe even moving far away. In true Breaking Bad form, Jimmy will counter-move and whatever he does will end up killing Chuck. Of course Kim will unfortunately get caught up in the mess and will probably die too.

  3. How, exactly, did Chuck try to sabotage Jimmy's legal career?  By not wanting Jimmy to practice law at HHM?  Am I forgetting something?

As for being willing to send Jimmy to jail, we don't know that he would've taken it that far, although it's certainly possible.

You guys have changed my opinion of Chuck a little. He is probably not "out to get" Jimmy, but is just more intent on protecting himself from Jimmy's antics.

However....I don't think he's any more righteous than Jimmy; he just uses means that are technically legal to get what he wants. (For example, using Howard to be the bad guy in keeping Jimmy out of the firm). That's Chuck's comfort zone, and the method that has allowed him to get what he wants and still feel high-and-mighty about it. Jimmy is obviously more liberal with how he gets things done.

  4. Not sure why Mike would fess up to his roll. No reason to admit to any of it.

I think he's incapable of leaving well enough alone. He gets all that money (which was the whole point, originally) and still feels unsatisfied. He even stoops to buying a round at the bar, maybe trying to get whatever little kick he can get. But it turns out his real hot button is sticking it to guys like Tio, which he is obviously not done doing yet.
  5. I still think Enid is involved with the Saviors. How did they know when and where to set up roadblocks? Did Enid spike Maggie's pickle juice, and then tell the Saviors? Why was she so concerned that Carl wouldn't come back?

My guess is Negan gets rid of Maggie because she's the weakest and won't be able to provide, or Abraham because he looks the toughest. Abraham was being optimistic in the RV, and that's never good for a character.

I had the same theory with Enid and the Saviors' road blocks. The irritating thing about this show is they will (probably) never tell us how that whole operation got organized. Pulling off something so elaborate seems like there's a good back-story that should be told.

  6. Saw the Eagles last night in Charlottesville. I can't imagine a better performance and sound, considering the mileage on those guys. They looked great too- granted I was in the nosebleeds. Glenn Frey seems like a pretty cool dude.

I would highly recommend checking them out, as they are swing through Buffalo this weekend I think.

Tim Murray pretty much has the same level of enthusiasm from start to finish.  I think it's just his demeanor.

I agree and think TM's comments and demeanor since the draft selection are done very purposefully. I mean, at what point would he have truly EXPECTED to get that first pick.....I just don't believe it. I admit I don't know why he is putting out the whoa-is-me act about not getting that #1 though. Maybe it'll make sense in time?

  8. This shot really stood out to me during the show but I couldn't put my finger on why.  And I actually read a different take on it yesterday talking about him looking East *to his past as a scammer* versus West (to his future as a legitimate, well-paid lawyer).  It's a shot of him looking the wrong way.

If you don't want to be whipped, take the job with the six-figure income and the incredible career potential.  Succeed there and you won't need help from Kim or Chuck or anyone else.

Again, it would have made more sense for him to break free by deciding to do something for a quick score.  He didn't gain anything but walking away, and he left a lot on the table by doing it.  It's just weird.

I think this episode made Jimmy wake up to a couple of realities. One is that he thrives and enjoys the hustle/scamming that he's been made to feel ashamed of (by people whose opinions suddenly don't mean so much any more). This brings him to the realization that the life and career he is about to step into doesn't give him the satisfaction he thought it would. And finally, the role that money plays in Jimmy's life is not as cut-and-dried as he/we originally thought. He's obviously a very generous person, and quite unselfish. But he loves to outwit people and get rewarded financially for it. He was FAR more excited to get the $110 from the guy at the bar than he was receiving the $20K from HHM. Earning a six figure income and drawing up wills for the next 20 years probably didn't sound too great.

  9. I would have liked to have seen the entire interview. He could have just been messing with the guy a little and wasn't being totally serious. Just the quote itself seems kind of dorky but I can't see him being that big of a dork.

That was my first impression. The "article" didn't sound anything like a real interview, but rather a couple of phrases plucked out of a conversation. Could very easily have been a joke by TM.
