Meh, I'm warming up to this.
BUT... I was always disgusted with the idea that a roster as talented as the Lions couldn't perform consistently. That team was such a disappointment, and to me, was held back by their head coach.
Here's to hoping that he can maximize this team's defensive talent when given a more singular role.

Nope. He can score 40 goals in the last 60 games and that'll just mean his value is at an all-time high. Trade him.
This reminds me of how every time the Bills draft a guy, someone digs up his college highlight reel and he looks like the next Cornelius Bennett. But that's if you only watch 3 minutes of his absolute best college plays.
Stafford will always be able to tantalize us with occasional flashes of brilliance. But those are only part of the story. He'll always be the guy who, at a moment's notice, can doze off for about a season or two.
Stafford is not the answer and not the veteran we want around young players.
Everything you said is absolutely right.
But I agree with nfreeman; he plays like this all year and the majority will be screaming for him to get a 5x5, save for maybe me, you, and d4rk, and maybe a couple of others.

That play was stupid. He got the first. Live to play another down. It's not like he hasn't already had a procedure on his knee, oh wait.
You're seriously asking a rookie first round QB on a National platform to "not get the extra yards"?
I know people say the game slows down for the good ones, but it's not REALLY slowing down to the point of deciding, "hmmm, should I grab those extra couple of yards or mail it in and try next time?"
Gamers game, and they do it at a 100% clip full go everytime. I don't want Trent Edwards out there overthinking and re-evaluating everything he does. I want a gamer.

Definitely not last year's Cards line bad. After EJ getting hurt, let's hope not...Disagree. We don't have a great running game by accident. They may not be elite pass protectors, but it's definitely a respectable line.

Wonder where the "Kolb was only bad in Arizona because of the line" crowd is now. Personally I would have preferred Manuel to sit for at least a little, but that doesn't seem to be a viable option right now.
I was one of those guys, sort of.
I don't recall ever saying that he was ONLY bad because of his line, just that John Elway would have looked like Rob Johnson behind a line like that. And yet, still, Kolb started off 4-1 before having his ribs torn from his torso. I think most fans were simply saying, "hey, let's see what he can do with a line that doesn't fall down after the snap before proclaiming him a clipboard holder".
Again, though, I've been screaming EJ from the rooftops since before the draft.

This is gonna sound silly, but I started surfing (when in Rome?) just last summer and was not prepared for the workout involved. Maybe it's because I still suck at it, but it's WAY more swimming than it is anything else.
Also, my nipples hate me (too cool for a rash guard).

Buffalo, NY - Chaos reigned today in the so-called "Meddling" trial of Terry Pegula, with the defendant admitting publickly this morning that he, indeed, does meddle in the affairs of the Buffalo Sabres.
Reports of the confession were introduced to the court by none other than Judge Smell, who immediately recused himself for aiding the prosecution. Although an objection was raised by the defense, the lead defense and counsel engaged in coquetry before the bench, raising the tenor of today's chaos.
The prosecution then dismissed all charges, claiming any further procedures would be an exercise in utter futility. Prosecutor Fan said after proceedings wrapped up "...my head is spinning...we knew the case was a near slam-dunk, and we were prepared to go to the mat, but now...now between Pegula's confession and the lotion discussion on the floor, I think I'm going to be drinking heavily for the next few days..."
As if the events of the day weren't enough, the final moments of the proceeding were punctuated by Sheriff Deputies tackling a woman who had leapt from the gallery and started assaulting Defense Attorney Emotion. Deputies cuffed the woman and took her away, Emotion declined to comment on the altercation.

Hope it's nothing too serious. My stepmom went to the ER last Sat. and found out she had a kidney stone. They sent her home with some Percocet and she finally had an appt with a urologist yesterday. His $40 professional opinion is that it's too small for surgery and she should just keep taking Percocet until it passes on its own. Yes, because everyone can burn a week or two of vacation while doped-up and waiting for a kidney stone to move itself. Jackass.
As for myself: I went to the dentist Mon. afternoon for what I'd expected to be a 30-45 min. appt to re-cement a loose crown. That turned into a 3 1/2 hour appt where first the crown wouldn't come off, then it did, but in such a fashion that it can't be re-used, and now I've got another temporary with the prospect of either another crown in a few months or getting the tooth pulled and having a tooth implant if it looks like there's decay. Now my FSA is pretty much empty with 7 months to go in the year. On the plus side, my tin temporary crown is pretty pimp. Any suggestions on my new rapper alias? So far the running favorite is Lil' Hooch.

Have you seen Kolb play before?
He was 4-0 last year before getting hurt. He also did that behind THE WORST O-line I've ever seen in any level of Football.
He's no Manning, but he's leaps and bounds better than Fitzpatrick. He just needs to stay healthy, and part of that is playing behind a stable line and having better weapons around him.

Da'Rick Rogers is an intriguing pick up. He could've been a 1st or 2nd rounder if he hadn't been kicked out of school. He was passed over 7 times by every team in the draft, a humbling event that put a massive chip on his shoulder. He's big, he's fast, and if he can get his head in the right place he could be the steal of the draft. The Bills are forming a young offensive core: a QB and a bunch of WRs.
He's by FAR the most talented WR in the draft.
He's also got the most problems.
This draft will make the pre-season exciting, if nothing else.
