  1. When you have a problem with your car, do you ask the mechanic to rip everything out and replace everything? I usually ask him to fix the glaring issue first, and if a problem remains, then I have him fix that.

Lindy isn't the glaring issue. The players that are lazy are. start there. if there's still an issue, then start looking elsewhere. If you try to replace the entire engine when the transmission is the problem, you haven't fixed anything, you've just left the other issue to continue to get worse.

I guess it is the classic "which came first" question. Is it the coach? Is it the players? Is it something else such as injuries? I honestly don't know. If I just spent a gazzilion dollars on a team and dressing room and am in it for the long haul, I am taking Chz's approach. Get healthy (one can hope). See the results. And if it still isn't performing then, I am getting a new hockey guy in as GM to figure it out for me.

  2. Bob Errey and the Root Sports broadcasting team were all over it. Saying that MAG's eyes looked like saucers inferring that Malkin had him hypnotized.

In my book, the single, biggest homer I have ever heard. In any sport. And that is saying something because I have to listen to "Coatsie" here in Philadelphia.
  3. The truly sad thing is the only reason another team would be willing to trade for a veteran Sabre forward other than Vanek, and possibly Pominville, is the old, "..maybe all they need is a change of scenery..." as opposed to thinking they were getting a stud.

  4. Many good choices. Exposing my 80's background, I do like Crue's "Kickstart" but think the lyrics to Pat Benatar's "All Fired Up" work and can be cranked. But, as mentioned, Van Halen and specifically "On Fire" can just be absolutely blasted and crank up ANYone and would be my choice.
