'Buffalo dominated much of the third period, but failed to capitalize and get the game-tying goal. Instead, Buchnevich's 11th goal of the season doubled the New York lead to 4-2 with four minutes to go in regulation. Just seconds later the puck bounces off of Linus Ullmark's stick and right to Namestnikov to make it 5-2. He would also add an empty net goal to secure the 6-2 … [Read more...] about Rangers defeat Sabres 6-2

The Sabres blow their homestand getting only seven out of 14 points

'After the game Phil Housley called his team soft, he said they didn’t work and the players need to understand that they didn’t manage the puck and when they don’t have the puck they have to have total urgency. He is absolutely right, he is coaching a very soft and fragile team that is much better than last year, but probably not good enough to stay in this playoff race too … [Read more...] about The Sabres blow their homestand getting only seven out of 14 points

Skinner scores twice, but Sabres conclude homestand with loss to Rangers

Sabres' Jack Eichel on Jeff Skinner: 'We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him'

'“I don’t think about it at all really,” Skinner said. “For us, we have enough things to think about here. We’re in the thick of the hunt right now. As a player, you can only sort of control a small number of things in spurts, and for me I think you just try and focus on those as much as you can.
