'Well, I’ve done it for 21 years I think for Hockey Night in Canada and for the Toronto Maple Leaf broadcast. I used to think all the time when I came to Buffalo to do a game for the Leafs, ‘wouldn’t it be nice if I could do 40 of these and go home after the game instead of driving from Toronto back here.' The travel was an issue I’ve thought about."'
'"I think everyone in our team has stepped forward as far as experience-wise," Miller said. "So, I don't doubt that we have a team to get back there. I think that everyone has been talking about losing Briere and Drury, who obviously were key parts from the team. 'Neale will work approximately 70 Sabres games this season, with Robitaille in the booth for the remainder.'
‘With the departure of co-captains Daniel Briere and Chris Drury to free agency Coach Lindy Ruff will determine his captains on a month-to-month basis. Ruff left it up to the players to vote on their captain. Ruff said that Hecht can be a vocal leader despite his apparent quiet demeanor.’
