‘On Wednesday, the Sabres offered Briere a five-year deal worth approximately $25 million. Briere turned it down. Interestingly, it was a similar offer to the one the Briere camp (led by CAA agent Pat Brisson) had suggested to Sabres management last summer before the sides went to arbitration. It’s just more proof that timing is everything, eh?’
