‘On the history front, while watching the highlights on the jumbotron (the same ones played before every game), I mentioned to my wife that it would have been great if all the highlights they showed were of Sabres hitting Leafs, and Sabres scoring on the Leafs. After all, there would have been a lot to choose from, given the recent history of success against the Leafs, including the playoff victory on the way to the Stanley Cup final. It would have brought the crowd, at least on the Sabres’ side, to its feet, and reminded the Leaf fans that they didn’t own the place, they were just visitors.’
