'In all, the Sabres will play eight games (four home, four away) against Northeast Division foes Boston, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, as well as four games (two home, two away) against the rest of the Eastern Conference. They will play home games against teams in the Pacific Division (Anaheim, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Jose) and travel to play teams in the Northwest Division (Calgary, Colorado, Edmonton, Minnesota and Vancouver).'

The Buffalo Sabres and the National Hockey League today announced the club’s 2005-06 regular season schedule. The Sabres will drop the puck on the new season at HSBC Arena on Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 PM vs. the New York Islanders.
To prepare for the NHL Draft on July 30, Sabres.com will be previewing the Top-16 players in this draft according to the NHL’s Central Scouting System.
'A notable conflict occurs on Saturday, Dec. 17 when the Sabres are to host the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7:30. Also on that night, the Buffalo Bills are home to the Denver Broncos at Ralph Wilson Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. A Sabres' official said an attempt was made to re-schedule the game to Pittsburgh, where the Sabres play a night earlier. Due to a previously scheduled event in the Penguins' arena, however, the game could not be switched.'
