'The agreements call for the Rigas family assets to be turned over to Adelphia, which will then pay $715 million in cash and stock to a fund designed to help investors who lost billions of dollars when the company collapsed in 2002. To avoid criminal prosecution, Adelphia also agreed to continue helping the Justice Department with its investigations.'
'Under the agreement, Adelphia founder John Rigas and son Timothy, along with other members of their family, will forfeit ownership of more than 95 percent of the family's assets, including most their cable television systems, real estate worth about $10 million and about $567 million in Adelphia securities.'
