'Hockey was suddenly the thing to watch in downtown Buffalo on Friday, with more than 2,700 tickets sold on the game-night walkup. The arena lobby was overflowing with last-minute shoppers, with lines snaking outside the building. Mike Gilbert, director of media relations for the Sabres, even hopped behind the last ticket window to help out.
