Having spent most of his 12-year career in the minors, Chris Taylor has experienced the disappointment of demotion. But when Taylor was told on Friday by Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff that he was being reassigned, the veteran centerman experienced a new degree of pain.
‘Friday’s reassignment of Chris Taylor from the Buffalo Sabres to Rochester is significant because it increases the probability of the classy center being with the Amerks for the Calder Cup playoffs. Assuming the Sabres don’t qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs, Rochester’s playoff roster could be loaded offensively with Taylor, Derek Roy, Milan Bartovic, Jason Botterill, Jason Dawe, Norm Milley, Domenic Pittis and Jason Pominville.’
