'Sabres defenseman Jay McKee will be out indefinitely after re-injuring his left knee in Buffalo's 2-1 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.'
'"You could see we didn't quite have the energy level we had (Saturday), but I thought the desperation was there to win the game," said Sabres coach Lindy Ruff, whose team played well in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Philadelphia.'
'"I felt pretty good," Delmore said. "I was nervous, but it was fun."'
'Curtis Brown, a Buffalo Sabre and asthma educator, will take part in the event, which is sponsored by the American Lung Association.'
Boulton and Boulerice began slugging it out 4:47 into Buffalo's 4-2 victory. Boulerice whipped his smaller combatant around and Boulton dropped to the ice in obvious pain.
'"To be up 2-0 midway through second period and to end up losing 4-2 is pretty [expletive]," Canes winger Erik Cole said.'
'"I think the thing that's most impressive is that we got down 2-0 and we fought back to win the game," Buffalo coach Lindy Ruff said. "It doesn't happen very often. It would have been an easy game to go the other way, but we came back. Bartovic coming down and scoring right after they made it 2-0 was an important goal for us."'
