Once known as the "Hardest-Working Team In Hockey," as I'm sure you remember, this team has spent the past several seasons sullying that image. However, although it is but three games into the regular season, the Sabres are looking as though they would like that dub back once more.

'The new Business Backs the Sabres committee hopes to help sell the equivalent of 3,200 season tickets and as many of the 121/2 remaining suites as it can. The 60-day campaign runs from Tuesday through Dec. 15. As of close of business Monday, the team had sold the equivalent of 7,771 full season tickets, about 65 percent of the 12,000-ticket goal.'
'A lack of advance ticket sales has caused postponement of the Sabres' annual charity carnival scheduled for Sunday. The event will now be held on Jan. 5, when already-purchased tickets will be honored.'
