‘Frank DuRoss, one of five parties interested in buying the Buffalo Sabres, is joining forces with another group in a bid to purchase the financially troubled franchise. DuRoss, a Utica, N.Y., businessman, is scheduled to announce the merger at a press conference in Buffalo on Friday afternoon, spokesman Steve Rossi said.’
