Sabres impressed with their own talents too much again tonite---must have got an inflated opinion of themselves after the game in Nashville....

 

This team has got to stop thinking they can just show up and win the game and actually play hard every night...

They will continue to think it, as evidenced by so many recent efforts, until Lindy does whatever is necessary to cause them to rethink it. He certainly got Vanek's attention last season.

This team may have thought the season was over after the first ten games or so. It's up to Lindy to start sending messages.

Bonehead play, no discipline. Back to the penalty shot; Roy acted like he'd rather not be doing it, and he didn't.

Gee, are we just discovering that Ruff is a loser as a coach? How long does it take to figure out that Lindy was never a good coach, coach-maker Hasek notwithstanding?

Unfortunately, they look like the Sabres of old - no intensity, outworked, no thought of shooting, no power play, no flow. They are not even hitting, except for Grier.

 

Very disappointing effort against a mediocre team that is missing its best defenseman (Witt).

 

Lindy needs to kick some tush between the second and third periods. He, also, still needs to figure out that you cannot score without shooting, especially on the power play.

 

By the way, is there a crowd in the building? The effort is pretty bad; the sleeping masses in the arena are not helping.
