For fun, what do people think it would take to trade up to 1?
I dont think Celebrini is a Bedard level prospect but maybe I'm wrong.

Please lose badly enough to initiate actual change. All I ask for. It's already 5 goals in 1 period to a crap team. Can they hang a tenner on us?

I'm shocked that so many pay to go to games. I've stopped watching on TV let alone pay. We don't even have decent broadcasting anymore. There's not one thing about this entire franchise that I feel positive about. Been around since the Knox family and this is the lowest this franchise has been in my opinion. That press conference confirmed it.
100% where I'm at. This franchise has no redeeming features. I can't think of anything positive about it right now.

Byrum is someone to get excited about. If your soul hasn’t been sucked clean by this disaster franchise. Getting a 4th round pick for a player that played himself out of THIS lineup is something.
I'm fine with both, my point was a 4th has very little chance to help. I would have liked a throw in just based on Casey being a C but overall...sure, fine. We waived the white flag on this season despite being so close last year. F'n unacceptable. Why not use our cap space??? So many players moved that could help us. Now and later.
There is no end in sight to this disaster. I cannot believe people pay to watch this team, theres no excitement.

I think it says a lot about the organization that a dude is trying to get himself psyched about a 4th round pick. We need a bolt of energy for this team. Seriously, F Adams.

Your lack of hockey knowledge is ...... something. I made an obvious point to your obvious dumb comment.
No. You threw out exceptions to the rule. Outliers. Iirc it's about a 10% chance for a 4th liner to play 100 nhl games. So just about the same chance as the Sabres making the playoffs this decade. Like I said.
Look I admire your enthusiasm (delusion) and apparent optimism (completely misplaced). This deadline, barring a late miracle, is further demonstrating we still don't have the correct leadership team in place for this team. I'm pretty sure we are the worst team in the league over the past 10 years. It's a complete shite show.

I saw your numbers. There used to be better sources for this but I can't find them now.

Weak dude. You made a dumb comment, own up to it Champ.
Have you ever heard of statistics? Do you actually think you made a point when you listed a few impact players chosen in the 4th?
A 4th in the nhl would be like a 12th round pick in the NFL. It's virtually nothing.

This is such a ridiculous and uninformed comment. Here's some 4th round picks for you that never played in the NHL:
Mark Recchi
Rob Blake
Jari Kurri
Sergei Fedorov
Tony Amonte
Glenn Anderson
Do we need to go on?
Yes that's the spirit! A 4th rounder will get this team over the hump! You get em sparky!

But you aren't getting more than a 4th for Johnson. My comment was in response to a 4th rounder meaning nothing..it doesn't mean nothing..and it doesn't mean nothing especially in light of what you gave up for it.
I get it. They should be much more aggressive. These moves amount to little or nothing that will improve this colossal shite show we got going on.

What year is the 4th rounder? If, IF the Sabres were in contention next year and had an injury in the bottom 6, that 4th can be flipped to a team eliminated to get that player.
Also, Imagine its the early 3rd round, you have a guy rated in your top 40 but you are still 3-4 picks away. Flip that 4th to someone to move up a few spots to get the guy you want.
A 4th rounder is not likely to turned into a player of value long term, but it can more more worth as a bargaining chip in other moves.
Finally, take a goalie. 5 of the 10 top guys in the league in save percentage (played at least 25 games) were taken in the 4th round or later.
Idgaf what year a 4th rounder is. This team needs major changes. I get during the deadline isn't the time for major surgery but usually there's an opportunity to fleece some desperate teams. Or, you know, try and make the team better now.
The vision with this team seems to be stay soft and do nothing.

The chances of a 4th round pick playing in the nhl are the same as the chances of the Sabres making the playoffs this decade.

The Sabres should trade the 11th overall pick in the 2024 draft

We have an absurd amount of assets. #1, Savoie, + a couple other pieces would HAVE to tempt SJ. I'd love to see a shake-up like this though I realize the likelihood is almost nill.
