  1. Doesn't hurt to give a couple WR washouts like Claypool and Hamler a shot in camp. Once upon a time, they had high end talent.

They have signed a whole bunch of players at various positions to 1 year "prove it"  deals with no spot promised, once September rolls around. Check out the current depth chart. Overloaded at many positions. WR is 10-11 deep.

Step up or shut up. Competition is always welcome. Good grief. Fans take some signings as a personal affront to their internet GM fantasy.

  2. Link went bad. Sorry.

Anyhow, it showed his tough youth in Louisiana. Insane HS stats in football, where he had 36 catches his last year with 22 of them TD's.  Scored 64 in a basketball state playoff game. Single Mom with 5 kids. She grounded him for a month when he got a C in a class. The things these poor kids have to get through is incredible.

  3. I see Jones is still having issues..

Jones was arrested in November and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after an argument with the mother of his child allegedly resulted in an injury to her neck, according to an arrest and booking report. The Florida state attorney's office announced in March that it would not pursue the charges against Jones and the case was dropped.

    Jaguars released Zay Jones.

Yuck. Had that incident where he supposedly tried to jump through a window he broke while acting crazy. Drugs ??  Then Raiders and Jags.  Had that amazing college career where he caught 399 passes. Had hopes for him. Shows that the draft is such a crapshoot.

  5. Love the garden. Up north here in WNY, the weather is getting better with 70 + degree days rolling in. Almost 80 yesterday.

Thinking of visiting the garden center today to fill pots on my deck with various color geraniums. They can take colder days if the temp does drop a little. Keep blooming into October.  More flowers later.

  6. Never say never but name players with big contracts isn't something I see the Sabres seeking. They have already overpaid some young guys that need to improve a lot to justify their contracts.

Players that can win a faceoff and don't avoid physical play are needed.  Ruff can't be comfortable with this current roster.

There is still the possibility of another teams camp / cap casualty that signs with the Bills late.

Bills have done this several times. Floyd was signed to rush the passer. Joe B in the Athletic has an article on this today. Vet cuts coming. $ 10.2 Mil more come June 1st ( T.White). Don't know the draft pool total needed for contracts but $ can always be moved if there's a desired player.

Mini-camp will give them an idea if the depth chart has actual quality in certain areas. They have the physical bodies now. Can they grasp the O or D ?  I'm sure with the draft picks, that was already determined with the higher selections. All part of the deal marching forward towards September. Not playing a game this week.

So you're OK with the bills basically having the worst receiving core where your QB has to do everything again.

The Wide receivers are a bunch of 3's

*Coleman will likely be a 2 in year 3

Down the stretch when the 6-6 Bills suddenly won 6 in a row and Brady chose Cook, KIncaid and Shakir to get the most touches, what were you watching ?  Cricket ?

Your narrative is self serving .  Brady changed the O and Beane made the needed cap moves. We'll see how it works but prioritizing Diggs and Davis was .500 football. They are gone with good reason. The past...is just that.

  9. This time of year is all about faith and narratives. Belief that your draft and off-season prior helped your roster.

Bills really followed the depth chart for needs. Lots of the Day 3 selections had promising scouting reports, indicating they could help. Many will get their shot.

One common theme in addition to talent is the amount of team captains they drafted. Obviously something the Bills like. Character does count.

They are no longer short in any position on the depth chart. How good those positions actually are will be exposed come summer at camp. Until then, every narrative of good or bad can't be proven otherwise.  We are all speaking from a position of genius. 👍
