If a boss wants to get to know a more personal side of an employee they can arrange events that promote it or learn over time as the relationship develops. In all my years of being in different leadership and subordinate roles I have never encountered this and never heard it be promoted as a leadership tool.

There’s a difference between a picture on a desk that is already physically accessible in the workplace and asking to gain access while holding a position of authority. The perceived position of authority to gain access to something one does not possess is a form of social engineering.

You never used your job authority to check out naked pics of your subordinates significant others?

Seriously WTF was this guy thinking. If this was all on the up and up, itd be pretty easy to ask players to each send you 1 or 2 pics that make you proud of your family, put them in a slide, and have each guy stand up during theirs and share about 'why and who they do what they do, for', share their major beliefs/motivations.  Team building meetings like this are common, and absolutely something I could see McD doing....... but 'enter your passcode, give me your phone, and ill be back in an hour' is psychopathic behavior.

Not like this coach was someone as the victim of players with an axe to grind against him. They havent played a single game yet and should still be in the honeymoon phase lol unreallllll

I haven't said anything on our hockey site about this yet. I've been following closely, and have most my adult life, statements from individuals that made allegations and/or claims on UAP's/UFO's. A multitude of events coming forward now, including released footage from us military aircraft is really fascinating. The fact the Pentagon is even allowing such footage out there is a hurdle that appears to have been overcome.

But David Grusch's testimony to the congressional committee is very disturbing to say the least. My wife and I watched it live, others in my circle, family, friends, work peers, also watched it in its enterity either live or recorded.

None of us were really surprised by the testimony, but one thing sent chills down everyone we chatted with about it, the following question and answer.

Congressman Tim Burchett asked Mr Grusch if anyone had been “murdered” as part of government efforts to cover-up information.

“I have to be careful asking [sic] that question,” he responded, citing an investigation into whether or not he was the subject of retaliatory action for whistleblowing. “I directed people with that knowledge to the appropriate authorities.”

Murder is murder, I don't care what the subject matter is. Murder to hide a program involving US tax dollars in a cover up, is Murder 1, punishable by death. A few of us spoke on it at length this evening. We all agreed. We also viewed Micheal Herrera's interview, as well as the confirming of the Bob Lazar story from the early 90's.

It appears the largest event in human history is unfolding, the confirmation that not only that UAP/UFO's exist, non human biologicals came with some of the craft recovered, but also that our government may have murdered US Citizens in an effort to hide the program and the private corporations involved, and the most disturbing fact, our citizens barely bat an eyelash about any of this.

My only concern with Levi is if he will be able to handle #1 goalie for the whole season.  He did great this season but it was a very small sample size. I would like to see a very capable #2 brought in just in case Levi stumbles a little. Our other three goalies are not acceptable for me as backups for Levi.

Levi, a mid level veteran, and i want to keep UPL around. Luuka got fed to the wolves this year, it was up and down but there were flashes. Improve the defense and develop the guy. Teams need 2 starters anyways, hes a great tool if he develops, trade bait, or a quality #2. Or get him down in Roch, let Levi and the vet do the heavy lifting

This is closer to the truth than most would admit.

So glad You have it all figured it. You and your compatriot in Obnoxiousness, who was certain Comrie was Him.

    So many Hot Takes!

This is not the time for evaluation.

It is when theirs no real upside to the other three. Best case scenario, we limp into playoffs behind our 4 man rotation (or 3 if conservative), does anyone have any doubt we get pounded 4 games and head home having gave up 21goals?  Or do you do an eval, let the team come out with that extra fire and hope, and maybe he gets hot.

Were obv not a contender, but if we were to get to playoffs, winning 2 games behind a young goalie and team could really send the message to the team we belong there next year.  Getting swept, without any eval does nothing for anybody. Roll with the spark

This season could come down to that stupid kicked goal against the Islanders.  My question is what happens at the end of the season, with an old fashioned 4 games in 5 nights?  I remember even the best Sabres teams dragging at the end of that scenario back in the day.

its brutal. upl and anderson dont inspire anyone. lets let the young cat fire the team up, maybe dude gets real hot. hot goalie, we score a lot. live and die by that to end of reg season and round 1. anyone think we wouldnt get swept 4-0 w/ UPL or Comrie?  if were gunna do anything its gunna be with the kid in net

    My two cents.

They have had a 3 goalie rotation where no one has taken the net. There have been good games but many poor ones from these three. There is not one of them that gives me the feeling that they would win an important game. They might but none of them inspire any confidence that they have this one in the bag.

These guys have had 75 games to take the net and tell DG that they’ve got this. Our answers to this question reflect this.

I vote Levi because he just beat a good team, he is full of confidence, he was traded away from that team and he fills me with hope because of his talent , work ethic and enthusiasm.

Anderson hasn’t even been practicing. He can’t be ready.
UPL was good in his last outing, but no better than Levi.

Comrie is due for a start but he just doesn’t give me confidence.

Regardless of who DG starts, the whole team must show up to beat the Panthers.

Levi has thrived on big games up to this point, give it to him.

what better way to evaluate than a playoff vibe game, high pressure, revenge game. lets see what levi has down the stretch.  give us an idea of what we need to do next year.

id like him to be a killer out there, but more importantly lets see how he handles the stretch mentally. what do we have to lose?

What?   This is a terrible take.

Military, police, firefighters, first responders.  They are all hard jobs, extremely necessary, and unfortunately they receive a relatively low pay.  What is wrong with recognition for these folks?

The objection is that these are all paid sponsorships. Nfl did October breast cancer, then it was revealed it was all part of money changing hands.

Now October is military appreciation and teams are excepting money as a paid recruitment commercial.  It feels very disingenuous when a nice deed is revealed to be profit driven.

Having to pay for a thank you or inclusivity feels very yucky.

I’m more than familiar with your well-documented stances on it and the implications of what you meant by “not building a team around him.” Your first comment you came swinging in with was  “Eichel never won nothin”, now you step back from it and do the “yeesh”/under attack thing. No dice lol

Were all civilized here. No reason that anyone should be coming here to say anything nice about Jack Benedict.  Bet the prices on Magic 8 Balls are cheaper anyways, theyre in the honeymoon phase, we'll see, that team was good before they got him

I don't consider that "disturbing".  Disturbing to me would be if he pushed it down the stairs with someone in it.  That would be pretty disturbing.

This is simply some young, immature kid doing something stupid that he will look back on 5 years from now and think "What the hell was I doing??"

yeah optics are really bad, and def some dumbassery involved, however,  i doubt there was "man i hate disabled people" behind it.  more like a drunken cat, mindlessly testing gravity. reallyyyyyyyyyy stupid because it was a wheelchair, but far from something society should be ruining the kids life over.  hes gunna learn, probably with his pocketbook, definitely with public shaming.  kid will be aight

This is inspired by the revamped Better Days video posted by Smell wherein there's a quick montage of Sabre folks over the lyrics "Everyone's forgiven now." Risto Rakru Kane Eichel.

Got me to thinking what a cool and totally impossible to pull off event it would be to have our many goats, villains, creeps -- internal and external -- brought onto the ice before a game. Grown men in the stands would be in tears as they phone their parents to admit they stole the cataract surgery money. Babies would be held aloft. Cell phone flashlights would sway to John Lennon. Jay Moran would somberly call out the names, occasionally stopping to compose himself...

    Gary Allan Bettman

    Darius Vladimir Kasparaitis

    John Hinckley Gurtler

    Kristopher Donald Bazen

... With the announcement of Bradley Lee Park's name a svelte man in a Queen tshirt holding a Turkish coffee would be shown on the video board mouthing the words, "I forgive you."

    Who else who else?

    You lost me at eichel

Also how in tf did you miss Hull? Youngin'

Who was the referee who failed to call Ed Van Impe for grabbing the puck lying in the crease and throwing it away from Rick Martin with about 5 minutes left in Game 6 against Philadelphia in 1975?

Brett Hull and everyone else from "No Goal."
