I'm sure ya can't play balls to the wall for 82 games but..... at least there should be a player or two playing hard. Hard to watch!!!

Most boring sissy hockey ever

The fact that this young man is willing to embrace this decision says a lot about his approach to his profession. His intelligence and dedication will play out very well because it doesn't appear to be a blow to his ego. ..... Levi is gunna be fine.

I've watched the Sabres since their inception. Especially when I was younger. I recall other teams often winning with some guy ya never heard of playing a big role. I'm guessing some Flyer's fans are wondering "who the hell is Biro" much like I've felt many times over the years. ..... We'll take it Gyro.

No question long-term. Dahlin is more "flashy" and has a higher ceiling, but Power is much farther along as a rookie than Dahlin was. Based on his play, and his improvement over the course of the season, he's a can't miss star in the making. Both of them are, although Dahlin is already a star. The Sabres are very fortunate to have both of them. It's a shame that Dahlin took longer to develop and had such poor coaching early in his career (see Kreuger, Ralph, who nearly ruined the kid), because the Sabres missed out on the opportuity to get him signed to a long-term, less expensive deal when they gave him his bridge deal a couple of years ago.
And they have Samuelsson too! The Sabres have arguably the best young trio of defensemen in the NHL and just need a couple of defensive-minded veterans to complement them.
Dahlin had to adjust to a new culture and language. .... Hell, I love em both and can't be happier that they're Sabres.

A big difference ..... Thais year Raz started pushing back/refusing to be denied! ... I think that's huge. .. Also.. Power is starting to show and it/maturation should come more quickly to Power as he doesn't need to learn a new culture....... Oh man ..... the future's so bright, gotta wear shades
-
Love my Sabres but Hawks may be even more soft/softer....... Sabes still need a player or two who just can't help themselves but play balls to the wall regularly .... Ya just gotta have more consistent intensity!!!

Mittelstadt has been my least favorite for at the last couple years. He seems to be playing a little better recently but I'd package him with VO and whoever else for a solid R hand defenseman who can do a chin up. I think it was Casey who couldn't do one at his combine. (that's terribly lame) ... Move him (if there's any value) and also I think ya gotta keep UPL up this year. These young guys need to keep the group energy/mentality they have aquired and UPL is a big part of it in my opinion. ... I think you can break this playoff draught without mortgaging the future.

I'm no expert but our Sabres simply didn't allow the Bruins to intimidate/make them look like sissies the way they have in the recent past. These kids are learning and growing. Awesome to see !! ..... Also Razors quote (along the same line) .. gotta paraphrase here.... "ya push back and ya hit em back and that stuff goes away" ...

now he's McDavid and Ovechkin loool cool it man
No .... I don't think anybody implied that. .... Just that he's a young player coming into his own and looking pretty good. ... Why is this so difficult to appreciate... (rhetorical)

Bottom line is .. Adam's approach seems to be working and it's pretty cool to see. .... Sorry if I offended anybody ......

Strong on his skates.... Has learned how to use his reach advantage. .. Doesn't back down from the physical game..... I'm damn glad he's on our side!
-
I also am really glad to see Dahlin playing a much more hardnosed game.... He's coming into his own big time.

If ya want your toughest players out there, they are Lyubushkin, Samuelsson, Okposo and Jost. .... Better not hope for a brawl

I think this looked like the kind of game that a young team grows from .... They didn't back down and they didn't give up.

Physical play usually indicates intensity. I always felt as though guys like Housley, Turgeon, Vanek and others could be intimidated off their games. Was really frustrating to see. I'm not saying you need to fight but I think in tight on the wall, ya gotta let the other guy know that you're gunna be balls to the wall so "buckle up"...... Play hungry!
-
I'm no expert but I know physical intensity in effort. I thought the game could've gone either way. .... This team is improving one hell of a lot. .... No reason to be pessimistic or negative. But keep it realistic. ..... The future's bright

Florida is one hell of a talented team. I was surprised how chippy they played though..... Mitts, Joker and a few others need to toughen up their game. (ya can't be afraid to get a bloody nose. It's part of imposing your will) ... It's only game two and I think it's gunna be a lot of fun watching these guys evolve and hopefully flourish this year. .. GO SABRES
-
Cmon Dahlin ! At least knock the dipchits had off your throat/jersey
-
Love the way this guy plays especially when he pastes people to the boards. Very smart signing. The Sabres are heading in the right direction on many levels. .... freakin awesome!!

Is the Sabres biggest issue upfront the lack of an elite forward?

Before we can truly judge GM KA, we need to see if any of our high level prospects can play complement to our (very good/damn good) rostered forwards. The Sabres have some undeniable upper-level talent.
