No call on a clear as day pick on Johnny Hockey before that goal.

The funny thing is, had the Sabres signed Mitts and he regressed next year, everyone here would have said it was a bad signing and said they would be open to trading him just like they are with Tage this year.
I have no issues with the trade. Team needed a shakeup and I think Thompson and Cozens will rebound next year. Byram hasn’t had a concussion since 2021 unless I’m mistaken.

All the fans want is the team to look like they are playing up to level. I was at the Panthers game and the tram came out firing in the 2nd and cheered them for the effort. It’s the second this team gets down and look dejected and give zero effort when they start booing.

I recall them losing to the rangers last year on a Saturday afternoon in them. Wasn’t there one this year too?
They lost to the Flyers last year in them I believe 4-0. But that one shouldn’t count because it was a rescheduled game for a reason I don’t remember.

I want an explanation from Granato on putting 53/37/71 as a line. They may be the three worst defensive players on the team. And not only that, he willingly put them on the ice against the Bruins top line which lead to the 4th goal.

So UPL tonight right? I would start him against Philly too then have Anderson go against Boston.

Adams told me all I needed to know at the trade deadline. Pegula won’t let him spend any money and We are not good enough to make playoffs , enjoy watching teams you really hate like the Bruins, Carolina, Devils Rangers and Leafs continue to finish ahead of you because the Sabres are gonna suck until maybe 2027-28
Yeah those Tage Thompson and Dylan Cozens long term contracts definitely showed Pegula won’t spend any money. Spot on analysis. JFC

So everyone that had the most idiotic, irrational takes after last game will come back and make calm, rational takes today right?

Is Bryson and a pick the new Ennis/Weber/3rd?

Is $7 million the new $700,000 when it comes to contracts?

So, Florida was the Presidents Trophy award winner last year and a damn tough team to play against. Over the offseason they made some major player trades and switched out coaches. Why? Teams in most all sports compete for a championship by being excellent over a stretch of time and then getting lucky or injury free that gives them a real shot of winning it all. Systems and players tend to need to be matched up in order for management and coaching to be able to fit those players into their style of system. Indiscriminately changing the players, coaches and/or schemes over a period of time is what brings about long stretches of little success. Looking at the major sports leagues it has become apparent to me that the most destructive policies for franchises to take is to switch coaches and systems without giving what they have in hand a chance to develop and prosper. It's even more of a problem when potential players are being drafted many years before they are developed into the type of players they will be when they become adults.
Management overreacted to getting blown out by Tampa in the Playoffs.

My favorite thing about these trade rumor posts is seeing players that posters constantly criticize get thrown into these deals like the other team would just take them and doesn’t see what we all see.

Yeah I mean 4 of these losses are too Cup contenders. They’ve played well for a lot of them. Sure it sucks they lost all of them but I’ll worry when they are constantly losing to the bottom of the league.
Its amazing Reddit is more reasonable than this place.

Welp its happening same old Sabres.
Who saw this coming
Yea because losing to a team that’s been in the cup final the last two years and a team that’s a constant contender the last few years in fun, close games until the end means “same old Sabres.”

Monday night game after Bills Sunday Night game, I will give the attendance a pass on that one.
Plus Halloween. Kids are going to be out trick or treating instead of going to a game.

Are pretty much a lock imo.
Boston also has a ton of injuries and won’t be full go until the end of the year, so a slow start might hamper them.

Micah McCurdy’s Model backs Him as well.
Andrew Copp and Mason Marchment are better but He is close to Heinen.
Ultimately I do not see the Sabres going in this direction anyways
From Friedman
The Flyers have also been considering another move, although they could go in several directions. GM Chuck Fletcher wouldn’t say much about his plans for James van Riemsdyk, but anyone who scores 24 goals has real value. Philadelphia may have to attach a sweetener to do it, but $1M of his $5M cash salary will already be paid via a bonus. Arizona, Buffalo and Seattle have been linked to the winger.
Sorry chuck but we aren’t taking Risto back. We already said no take backsies.

Boy this was the one I thought we needed to go .500 on this road trip.
San Jose has covid issues going on so it’s quite possible that one is more winnable than it looked at the start of the trip.

Does anyone know what time the casino starts charging for parking before games?

Now it makes sense why we have so much cap room: We'll have to have it when we make trades for McDavid, Hedman and Ovechkin for the Cup run at the trade deadline.

If they did go to Quebec, I would hope the NHL moved to a division format similar to the NFL with 8 divisions of four:
Quebec, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa
Buffalo, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh
NY Rangers, NY Islanders, New Jersey, Washington
Carolina, Nashville, Florida, Tampa Bay
Columbus, Detroit, Minnesota, Chicago
Vegas, Colorado, St. Louis, Dallas
Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle
Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Winnipeg
