When the product is not fun to watch, yes, this is what you get. If they were a hard luck team outperforming, but struggling to score, then we could look at a different perspective. What I'm looking at today is sloppy puck control combined with poor defensive play.
Criticism has been earned.

maybe it's just me ?
I'm not convinced that a strict alternating games rotation is best for these goalies. UPL plays great Saturday, then sits. Given the rest, he could try to build momentum.

We've reached the point, where we can admit this team is not underperforming.
They are just not that good.
Time for the Pegulas to sell. If the team is sold and moves, that's one less embarrassment for Buffalo.

So what type of player does Jack want to be? If he's going to take extra shifts and play tired, then he has to move the puck faster. A quick pass takes far less energy than holding it to stickhandle it out. If he does not enjoy losing, then he has to at least lead by example and not take shifts, nor plays off.
