I'm gonna preach patience. The B's are going to tire provided they're kept off the scoreboard. One goal and they start to doubt themselves. Thomas is giving up some juicy rebounds. It'll come.
-
1st PP was putrid. I just think the Swordsmen just need to hang around. I don't think the Bs can maintain this intensity. Get past the first rush and steal one, then Lindy's boys will have the advantage.

You can get Rick & Jim on www.wgr550.com
Thanks guys. Oh, those missed opportunities!

I remember seeing bits and pieces of that film as a kid. Barely remember any of it. Wouldn't know what you're talking about.
Nuts! Paille got stopped on the Penalty Shot.
It's a story about a woman that has to make a terrible choice about which of her two children would live. Like I said: Bad analogy.
The Swordsmen really poured it on in the 2nd, but still only lead by 1. I'm still without Center Ice, so I'm listening to the Columbus broadcast (can't find Rick & Jim). They're surprisingly neutral(-ish). They've mentioned the large number of Buffalo fans there a few times and how they wish they were in the Eastern Conference so that they had more games like this with out-of-towners in for the games.

Briere wins AS MVP. Then Drury scores the first two goals of the 2nd half, both on the PP. Darcy is going to have a "Sophie's Choice" at the end of the season.
Okay, bad analogy.... but still.

Center Ice is down on Comcast. I'm flying blind here.
Looks like little has changed on the special teams.
-
What a joke. Our guys just don't want it tonight.
-
"Hardest working team in the NHL" tag belongs to someone else. Might be the Pens. Both goals so far came as they simply out-worked the Sabres. Moore kept that puck in the zone. That's the type of thing that Dixon Ward use to do.
-
Roby just said that Drury and Gaustad are "like bulldogs eating lunch off a brillo pad."
I have no idea what that means but it sounded like a compliment ...
Mike just makes me shake my head sometimes. Thank God for Canadians.

Hey Grahame, Kenny Rogers called and wants your mask to co-star in the sequel to "Six Pack"! :D
 Nice!
Course, I'm about 1-2 years from moving there, so I shouldn't throw stones.

I've got deja vu. This is just like the game at the Panthers a few weeks ago. The other guys are just skating harder, creating more opportunities. Miller hasn't had to stand on his head yet, but there needs to be more intensity in the offensive zone. The 'Canes D is stifling.
-
Looks like it, that line is really starting to do well together. Drury has been able to set Kotalik up with some big one-timers and Gaustad is producing there too.
Gaustad has had it tee'd up for him twice tonight with no result. That's gotta give, tho.

There will not be any "payback" against Ovechkin, but the Sabres win big 6-1!!
Way to go, Labatt... you got the 1st period score correct.

Nothing is easy. Everyone breathe deeply.
59:40 of great defense and fantastic goaltending. Let's hope there aren't any more episodes like the last 40 ticks.

I knew Fraser was a puss.
Metrosexuals in the game of hockey? What is this, 1976?

Can anyone explain that penalty on Miller? call or not?
Seemed like a good call, technically. He played the puck below the goal line outside the trapezoid. Ticky-tack? Sure. This game has been called a bit differently than the other 40 or so games I've watched this year. They seem to be letting a few hooks/clutches go, but that one was something I thought would be ignored.
I predict a parade to the penalty box in the 3rd. The Devils will be tired from playing this up-and-down stuff and will resort to clutching a bit more. Of course, I could be wrong.
-
Heck, Mair might be able to score with him there.
Mair needs a wide open net and two shots.
And then, maybe. :D
-
It looked like to me that he got a piece of it.
Spoken like a goaltender - The posts/crossbar are part of the equipment. :)
-
What kinda of BS no-call was that? I guess I'll feign a fall and slide into the goaltender.
Great rush on the goal and a superb 1st minute of that PP.
-
Mostly solid goal-tending from Miller with some sickness at the end. Brodeur just keeps keeping on. The zebras are letting both teams play. That really doesn't bode well for the guys in white. I'd score that one 10-9 Devils if this was a fight.
The crowd (?) makes it sound like a funeral home. What's with these people?
-
Weak play in the last 8 minutes. That goal was a long time coming for the Leafs. Swordsmen need to get it together. They've played well for 14 minutes over the last 3+ games.

Welcome to the land of NHL Hockey every night. What a great concept, hockey when you want it. Provided of course you are not within the black out radius of a team.
Shouldn't be a problem. I live about 3 miles from the Panthers' arena. Tuesday, I bought a ticket for $10. 11th row, and parking was free. I don't think NHL hockey is long for South FL.
-
I should apologize to everyone now. I was putting off getting Center Ice 'cause I thought I'd jinx the team. But I bought it this afternoon.
I'm sorry.

I saw "Moneyball" over a month ago, and this song is probably going to make me kill someone.

Be warned, it's got greater staying power than "Dancing Queen". The chick is awfully cute, too.
