Good news, they have partial obstructed seats for just $15. Bad news, website either crashed or game is sold out.
working fine for me on my desktop and my phone. Just checked again and the 3 lower bowl sections in the middle on both sides and a good portion of the center 200 level (red seats) are sold. Lots of other good seats still available.

that is fantastic news. The first one was tremendous.

This made me laugh

The Chicago Blackhawks pitch to Jimmy Vesey will be "you're guaranteed to play in every outdoor game for the next two years".

Thought this little nugget from the review of yesterday's Edgefest provided some nice comic relief on the Vesey situation. Well done Joywave!
As for Rochester’s Joywave, its members turned up the volume, turning in a set of pristine near-hometown electro-pop. Punctuated by the on-stage ferocity of bespectacled vocalist Daniel Armbruster, the lanky frontman shined on “Tongues” and charmed locals by tweet-messaging Harvard’s Jimmy Vesey to sign with the Sabres while on stage – before encouraging the crowd to do the same.

I hear they are already planning a huge outside viewing area in Kingston for the show, I'm sure there might be some legal wrangling to do but it doesn't look like anything is scheduled at canalside on 8/20.
just announced a live viewing event for the Kingston show in Larkinville.

I wonder if the team is in revolt over Boudreau. Their lineup is just so much better than what they've been showing.
Boudreau's kids and granddaughter were behind us in the 200's. Felt bad for the family. No big surprise, everyone realizes he is on thin ice.

Kim says vote, I vote.
Having the Gaslight Anthem as our goal song would up the street cred, ya know, cause they're good.
I do like the alternate version of Swords linked above, it has a bit of a lustier chorus. Would sound better in the arena.

In Rochester there's a place called the Hungerford. It's a big old factory complex that has individual studio spaces for rent to artists. Josie rents space there. It's cool. But there doesn't seem to be anything like that here in Buffalo. Which is a bummer because I would happily pay a small sum to share a space with some people and avoid my parents house at all costs.
If rent wasn't so absurd I'd just get a second small studio apartment here, but I'm already paying rent in Rochester so I can't really swing another $450 a month.
Kill me.
Artspace Buffalo sounds exactly like that. No idea of the cost and availability but here is a link

I wonder if the main FNC sign on the arena is going to be redone so that as you walk towards the arena on Washington you can see the entire sign again? With HarborCenter construction, most of the sign is now blocked.
I read a quote a while back from Koemel that it is definitely being looked at and they are looking at their options for sign placement to fix it.

They're not. Maybe in the 50s they were, but they hardly see enough volume to justify their capacity.
You couldn't be more wrong. The 198 handles 60,000 cars/day alone. Downgrading it to 30mph would be a huge mistake and would adversely impact the tourist destinations and colleges in the area who depend on efficient traffic flow for their users.

My complaint is that I was too busy yesterday to post in Eleven's other thread. For which I offer my apologies and, more importantly, my deepest condolences.

I don't care who the captains are as long as Drew Stafford isn't one of them. In fact I don't think he should be allowed to have an A in his own name.
:w00t: :w00t: That's great! And the legend of Drew Stfford was born.

Odds:
Ott -- 3-1
Vanek -- 7-1
Hoff -- 12-1
Weber -- 25-1
Kaleta -- 7,00,000-1
Could make some money with those odds. I think it will be the Hoff or Weber. I'll say the Hoff.

It moved.

The clubs in B-Lo have been booking some awesome shows recently. Here are 4 that I will be attending:
8/1 - Jason Isbell
8/26 - Titus Andronicus
11/3 - Drive By Truckers (w/ Old 97's opening)
11/23 - Frank Turner

Can we get this thread fired back up? Maybe even modify the title to reflect 2013?
Because I am funking FIRED UP to see these fellas at Canalside.
Agree. THS will put on their usual great show. Hope they are still touring with the extra guitarist, really punches up the sound. Also hoping for some new material which is long overdue. Wifey and I return that morning from a 10 hour red eye originating in Alaska and we'll be there with bells on. Every year I have crossed my fingers that they would be booked for the square/canalside shows as they are just an absolute good time. Can't wait.

They could have the pins painted like Sabres jerseys. At Midnight Bowling they can have a special Tim Connolly pin that shatters on contact and a Ryan Miller pin that when hit it causes the other pins to scatter.
OK, your a giant pain in the *ss most times but that is hilarious. Well done.

It's nice to see a hockey team play with energy and enthusiasm. I'm jealous of the Devils.
