Stranger Things on Netflix was really good. Kind of like Freaks and Geeks meet E.T.

This is my second Veteran's Day as an Active Duty member. It still feels a little awkward to be thanked for my service. Hope everyone had a great day. Also, thank you to my grandfather Charles for his service in the Navy.

WPIG was playing the game last week on TuneIn.

I just finished Daredevil. The wife and I both liked it.

I went to a game when I was on leave in February. The fans are pretty involved and loud. Especially for a non-traditional hockey market. So, I'm going to be in Nashville this weekend. Was thinking of going to the Preds/Hawks game Friday night, but I'm not sure. Anyone been to a Predators playoff game - is the vibe good there?

Well done, Tank.

On leave in Nashville...25° here. Back at the house in Honolulu it's 75°.

Nicely done.If he's getting the minutes does it matter what top he is? He can be bottom if he really likes it that way as long as he's an active participant that logs a lot of minutes and really works the walls with an active stick.

I know he didn't come back for a shift, but I would swear I saw him back on the bench later. Also, he skated out to the center faceoff dot and back to the bench. Either way, blocking a Weber slap shot is crazy.I'm pretty sure he went straight down the tunnel and didn't return after that one... he stayed out there out of necessity after blocking the shot because he was trapped in the defensive zone, but as soon as Nashville scored he left the ice in considerable pain.

Just got back from the Jets/Preds game. A few observations to add to what's already been said - Myers started the game on the power play, but I don't believe he touched the ice during the 5 on 3. He tried to skate a little a few shifts after blocking Weber's shot.

I'll be going to the Preds/Jets game tonight to see the other side of the trade.

Chlamydia?I like Paul Hamilton when it comes to hockey.....but the craziest thing he ever said was that he thought Hodgson should get the "C".

Does Honolulu count?

I just celebrated my first year in the Air Force, and so far it's been great. I've heard going to the Officer Academy in the states is pretty rough. You pretty much get treated like crap for four years. The difference between enlisted and officer was best described to me as...officers lead programs, and sergeants lead people. Obviously, that could be different depending on what your job is.

Ranking of the smartest spenders. Not very surprising placement for the Sabres and Bills.

Fitting. I laughed.

http://www.buffalosportsdaily.com/report-ray-whitney-hates-buffalo/The perfect target for the Sabres this summer is Ray Whitney. He's 41 and still playing at a high level. His career spans two decades and he has over 1000 points. He'd be the perfect player/coach to help out all the young guys. He's also won the Cup (as a Hurricane, unfortunately) already, which means he's basically done it all and makes him more likely to sign on with Buffalo if we toss a bunch of money his way.
He can help us get to the cap floor and he'd be a good mentor for our young players, but he's not so good that he'd screw up our tank job if that's what we're going for next year.
Offer him a big one-year deal (and offer to deal him to a contender at the deadline if that's what he wants) and offer him a big two-year deal. Let him pick.
(Note: I have no idea if he's said anything recently about retirement. Hopefully not.)

73° here in Honolulu.

I'd only want Ekblad if we get the Isles pick this year instead of 2015.

Baptiste is leading the AHL in goals now (in seven less games than #2). I hope that can translate to the NHL soon.
